I thought eric won the first one and MAB won the second and they got it right in the third fight. To be honest, I must go back and score the fight(s) again.

Both the British (Darke & McCrory) & American (Merchant, Lederman n co) commentators all scored the 2nd fight to Morales & in just about every vote or poster asked, they say Morales won it.... only the judges & 4 or 5 ESB posters (mostly all MAB fanboys) try kid themselves that he didnt lose this fight.

As Ive said before... I have no problem with anyone scoring fights 1 & 3 for MAB because those fights were razor close & could have gone either way.... but only a biased/clueless moron would score fight 2 for MAB.

Over the 3 fights, I thought Morales had the edge & outside of their trilogy I think his record is superior too.

Ps. I posted all 3 scorecards a few pages back (post #15)... Ive yet til this very day to see a scorecard of EM-MAB II from one of you clowns that says MAB won it.... you probably have never seen the fight in full & thats why.

I'm one of the few who thought that Morales definitely won the third fight...

Thats what fanatacism will do to an individual.......

....any clueless individual making a case for MAB winning fight 2, would surely have MAB winning going away in their third fight.:nut

I have'nt heard of any individual that scored the 2nd fight for MAB, have the 3rd fight even close........100% of these people swing from MAB's nuts.:yep

I haven't seen the Compubox stats yet but I thought Erik was just a little too far behind to make up for it. Still, I have to admit it does stick in my craw to award a points victory to a guy who, imo, lost the final two rounds.

Especially as they were 6 scintillating minutes!!

Thats just whats wrong with you and people like you in forums like this that need to look at punchstats to decide a winner.

In proffesional boxing, you dont decide a winner by looking at punchstat.:nut

i couldnt see the third fight bein that close i had barrera winnin clearly but then again i had morales winnin the second fight pretty clearly i mean if you watch again in the last 6 rounds of that barrera looks agressive but alot of the shots are stretchin and quite alot not even landing morales did not look right in the third fight and i think barrera was a bit too cautious in the second maybe because he broke his ribs in the training camp who knows?

Wrong. YOU, singular, don't. But by all means, continue trying to decide fights by "ring generalship". I'll continue with the punches that actually LANDED.

Thank you for the 'conversation', but that is where we'll leave it.

    :)

I had Morales win the first fight, the second fight, and by the time Morales was battle worn, I had Barrera in the third.

This, though I wouldn't take anything away from Barrera in the 3rd fight.

Of course you wouldn't. That means you would have to against Pac.

But the FACT remains that you agree Morales beat Barrera when theyw ere both primes, twice.

By the time both fighters were past their prime, Barrera won, not because he was a better fighter, but because he was fresher, manking him the better fighter than night only.

I'm not sure what you're getting at, but Pac gets full credit for for his first win over Barrera. I'm personally a BIG Morales fan and would always say he edges Barrera in terms of who's the better fighter.

Sorry, I think I was half asleep when I wrote that, as it is still morning here in the U.S.

What I meant to say was that, of course you don't take anything away from Barrera's victory over Morales in the third fight, because taking something away from Barrera means you would have to do the same for Pac's victory over Morales.

I do take away from Barrera's win over Morales in the third fight because imo, Morales is The Better fighter, he has the better resume, and he proved that prime for prime, he beats Barrera. MAB was just fortunate to fight a very battle worn Morales.

Just like I can't give De La Hoya full complete credit over his win against JCC, because JCC was past his best, I can't give Barrera complete credit for beating Morales. I give him credit for being better that night.
