Well by using your logic SP550 (which is a good sampler by the way), I would say Floyd and Pac ain't much better and SUCK as well.

 

what about the quality of how he fights.

vicoius body punchning, rapid combinations, head movement. athleticism.


what about the fact that he KO percentage is massively high, showing that he is a level above the B fighters he was against.

mixed results against tough opponents, but he had to move up in weight to do and fought bigger men his whole career.

i understand your points, but its true in someways but in many other ways your points are truly superficial.

people respect mosely bc they know it is hard as **** to accomplish what he has done.

He may not be all time great yet, but he is certainly one of the greatest in his era.

You can blame him for losing to winky but he was truly the smaller man in that fihgt against a high caliber opponent.

You can blame him for losing to cotto. no excuses, but its still impressive for 36 year old fighters to keep at this level at his stage in his career.

Either the glass is half empty or half full with shane. Knnowing this, he is trying to fight mayweather and pac to clear up his legacy. Shane must prove his worth in the ring.

 

i think its sad that so many fans call various fighters overrated for various reasons.


people say the same **** about RJJ, Calzaghe, Floyd, Shane, Oscar.

But even the all time greats has fought their share of bums that is how you separate the A class from the B class.

Once u identify who is in the A class, the best can fight the best to ascend to a higher level of greatness.

I think too many people are quick to call people overrated mores quickly then receiving the accolades that these guys have to fight to for.....

and a lot of the guys who called fighters overhyped can appreciate how hard the fight game is...

 

Its easy to pick holes in anyones record. too easy.

IMO If he wasnt on roids i would say he was up there. But with all this roid crap you really have to take away any fight which he might have been using roids at. I honestly cant make a decision as to where i view him because of this. May first will give me more indication.

 

understood, as per the testimony it was just for the delahoya 2. unless people want to accuse him for lying in his testimony as well, that is something i cant speak on. However, it was just for that one fight as per the testimony.
