Caballero was class on the night and threw 1250 punches. It was on sided like the Joe and Jeff fight with a single knockdown.

I hope this is where the similarities stop.

I hope that yourdan, as a young undefeated fighter can recover mentally from such a one sided bout in the way that Lacy never did.

I genuinley thought (as I did for the Calzaghe-Lacy fight) that the ref should have stopped the fight a lot earlier.

Yordan has some potential, but as of right now, he doesn't have the skill to take on the top guns at featherweight. He also looked much shorter than Caballero. Yordan needs a stronger punch if his output is going to be low.

Yordan looked great in the first round against Guererro which is why people thought that this was going to be an interesting fight.

Not as bad as Calzaghe/Lacy which was a slaughter, but a decent comparison.

Yordan had some moments of success. Caballero has an iron chin though and seemed totally unaffected by Yordan's counter rights.

Although the 12 rounds were similar to joe and jeff, I was hoping that Yourdan doesn't suffer the same fall from grace that Lacy did to be honest. He seems more grounded though. Lacy seemed a bit to big for his boots where as this lad knew he was up against it. I hope he bounces back.

  10. I thought the kid gave a good account of himself despite being obviously outclassed. I can see him making some noise 3-4 years from now. Caballero's style was just all wrong for him, especially at this point in such a young career.

That's the initial point I was trying to make to be honest. I thought after the Calzaghe fight that Lacy would make some future noise but... I don't want him to go down the same road as Lacy. Having said that, with the likes of Caballero, Gamboa and Lopez around that weight... Who knows
