his management team is really testing him with good opposition... good to see him fighting some decent fighters
Certainly now being matched against better opposition and has strung a dozen wins together. So important our younger talent are genuinely progressed and not just pointed at cheap titles against poor opposition.
i agree , he definitely needed that 12 rounder last night to get a bit more exeprience into him and to prove that he can go the distance and worry opponents, also kept the pressure on for the whole fight last night , i can see him going far, looks to be a really grounded guy also.
yeah fighting guys now with records like 15 wins and 20 losses just will not help him further his skills enough. u have to keep stepping up otherwise when he gets a title shot he may find it difficult. good to see he fought well last night. he would surely get some fantastic sparring here in australia. anybody know who he spars with?
I'm not sure who he spars with here but I know he did go over to the U.S recently and done some sparring with Gamboa.
From what I've seen of Tomlinson in the few fights I've watched I'm prepared to say he will go further than Zappa in his career.
Am I the only guy who thinks Will had an off night? He found it hard to get his range and was often too close to let them go and failed to put the punches together when it was needed. Dont get me wrong hes got the goods...just didnt see his best last night :bart
yeah he had a lot of trouble getting accurate shots in consecutively i thought but its good to see even though he wasnt fighting his best he still won comfortably
Had the privilege of spending a lot of time with Will over the last two days. Will was a little down on his performance but I can reveal he hardly did any sparring in the last month due to numerous cuts that occured in training. Didn't help that Bravo had on track shoes all night either.
Considering he went into the fight with limited sparring he did well. He only had stitches removed from a cut near his eye 5 days before the fight.
Its ok to have an off night mate....to me he had an off night. I like Will and have meet the guy a few times and I'm looking forward to better timing of punches and getting is distance right when he unloads.
