    Go to Boxscene.

Margarito after Martinez? Its VERY apparent that Loew, Pavlik, and Arum want NOTHING to do with any of the 168 elite. He wants to make a career off of feasting on lil guys. If he fights Margarito, I dont see how his delusional lil groupies can continue to support him. IF he beats Martinez, then the ONLY last credible fight for him at 160 is Tall Paul.

If he beats Martinez, stays at 160 and fights someone other then Williams... it'll be pretty clear that he's a coward.

I'm PRAYING Martinez gets in that ass on Saturday! WAR MARAVILLA!

Rubbish, why would he wanna fight anybody at 168lbs when there's mexican taxi drivers and janitors to knock out like he has been doing since the Hopkins fight.

yea, pavlik's career on the cusp of becoming a joke. He's at a crossroads where he can go along with easy fights and average pay days or he can fight for his legacy. My guess is that he's gonna duck Willams for as long as possible, taking hand-picked opponents.

It is a shame because I used to really like Pavlik, especially after the Taylor fights. But he has lost all respect, and until he proves he has some bollocks, deserves none.

Context matters. Leow was merely giving an example. People are always screaming about how KP MUST move up and fight so-and-so. No one ever says so-and-so should move up and fight Pavlik. It was just an example, and only a fool would think otherwise.

I don't respect anything he's done prior to the hopkins fight. His people seem scared. How long is it gonna be till he goes up? He ducked abraham and now he's sitting with nobody to fight but little guys. Sure Martinez is a good pick to get him some more experience against slick fighters but what is he gonna do with big slicksters like Ward, Dirrell and Bute? He is sitting at 160 killing his body because there is no way he could duck people at 168. Too many guys there.

This is exactly what Leow was talking about! People always scream about how Pavlik should move up, but no one every says others should move up to fight KP. Did you even read the article?

I think the reason people do say that about Pavlik is because he has somewhat a lot to prove. Whereas on the flip-side Paul Williams represents everything that is right with the sport today.

he knows he'd get exposed at 168. dirrell & ward would school him 120-108, froch/abraham/kessler he would have a decent chance but probably lose to all, bute schools him too.

he'd rather kill himself to make 160 and keep fighting the ham and eggers.

Wait, what? Apparently people did say Williams and Martinez should move up and fight Pavlik because that's what has happened or has attempted to happen.

So, this is what we've come to with this guy. Continue to wait for the rest of the welterweights and SMW's to move up? It's a trend. Not one to be proud of. Shouldn't Pavlik desire bigger challenges?

I find this interesting actually. You think Arum just wants to put Martinez out of his (his being Arum) misery and collect money doing it? Pavlik has ruined fighters before and we have no idea if he Margo has ANYTHING left after Mosely. Would Pavlik take this fight or is this the typical negotiating **** that goes on? Look disinterested in your #1 target to gain an advantage?

The marquee names could also come up to us. Everybody always [says] 'why doesn't Kelly move up to fight Chad Dawson at light heavyweight, or why doesn't Kelly move up to super middleweight.' We've been asked to go to heavyweight. Why don't they for once, say 'let Margarito come up from 154 to 160.'

Think for a mintue Uncle -- we had tons of rumors about Pavlik fighting Mora, Duddy, and even Mayorga. At the end of the day KP chased a fight with Calzaghe, and fought Hopkins. The last 18 months have been miserable for Team Pavlik, but things are on the upswing now, and there is no way in hell we will see a Pavlik/Margarito fight.

I went into the source code and pulled out the relevant quote and added it to my last post. Kelly has been asked to fight at HW? :patsch

David Haye really is ducking Vlad isn't he.

The light will shine directly on Pdub immediately following Pavliks KO of Sergio.

I wish i had that kind of faith in Arum. Margarito is going to get one of Top Rank's big guns, pity the thought.
