Let's say Pacquaio wants a title in an unprecedented 8th weight class. Instead of taking on an easier challenge at 154 let's say he goes for Martinez. No catch weight. How do you think the fight plays out?
if what is said is true...and i really have no basis to say it isnt...and pac is on a michael phelps"ish" 7,000 calorie a day diet or whatever it is to make his ww weight, what would he have to do to get up there?
I dont think this would be a good idea for Manny...Sergio is fast as Manny and he does hit hard...This would be a bad, bad match up for Manny IMO...Sergio can bang and he will fight back unlike Manny's last opponents...I think he stop Manny in 11.
Of course, Martinez is far more mobile than any of Pac's last 4 fights but at this point he's just playing with the house's money. It would be fun to see and you never know. I remember after the Diaz fight, they asked pac about the weight and he said it was fine and that he could go up to 140 and even 147. Everyone thought it was typical boxing bravado but it actually worked. Damn modern day boxing and all the careful match-making.
you got a point rudy. but sergio is there to be hit b/c of some bad habits. it would be interesting to see what happens when pac does land on sergio lunging in w/ his face exposed. would he get off and bully pac or would he get hit? and then if sergio did get hit, would it have the same effect as in the lower weights?
No doubt...The thing is Arum punk ass wouldnt risk his cash cow...I know many boxing fans dont like the UFC but one thing we can say is that they give the fight fans want.
