I think Pavlik will be surprised at the one-punch power of Maravilla.

martinez might win, although i doubt it, but i do not think he has the power to hurt kelly.

kelly has proven his chin against hopkins/taylor/miranda and it has been proven to be solid and reliable.

i agree. i think if martinez wins this fight it will be due to his speed and boxing skills not his power.

I was a big fan of McKart's. Seems muddle headed now, but back in 2006 I picked him to beat Pavlik:patsch

    This time is different.

Sergio will get some good power shots in, and hurt Kelly.

I'm not sure if it will be enough, but I am pretty sure he will at least hurt him. I am not making any guarantess about the outcome, as I have done in the past, but I think Sergio will catch kelly clean with shots he doesn't see coming. And I also think his movement will keep him from being hit with anything too meaningful as long as his stamina holds up.

I expect a long, one sided ass whooping as well. Both Pavlic and Jack "double the ****ing jab" Loew are going to have the deer caugh in headlight look.

i sure hope so... pavlik has got to be one of the most undeserving champs of this era... the man won't even admit he ducked williams twice, and made numerous excuses for his embarrassing loss to hopkins...

most underserving? say what you want since he got the title, but how he got it is the opposite of undeserving. he pulled himself off the floor and then floored the undefeated undisputed mw champ in very dramatic fashion.

I disagree that Martinez is a harder puncher than Taylor. The problem with Taylor is that he has a tendency to telegraph his right hand, so his opponents know its coming. This gives them time to react in anticipation of the punch.

actually, this is incorrect. taylors right counter over an unsuspecting left jab was one of his biggest weapons. its what started the pav onslaught in the second round of their fight, its what surprised froch, etc. it was very effective and very well timed. there was a time when taylor was very good.

Martinez telegraphs his lead left more often than night. He is also very predictable with his right hook. He doesn't do anything like the bow and arrow thing JT used to do with his right, but he most certainly gives off signals.
