    The funny thing was he realised he had made a dumb statement from the start, and had to squirm to get away with it. You could also see that he considered bullshitting, but realised he could easily get called up on it by people he knows.

    Good god, living in Nottingham that sounds so ridiculous. He lives in an average area of Nottingham then, not the nicest, but no where near one of the worst areas by any stretch of the imagination.

    I don't get why people think that saying they are from a **** heap would impress anyone.

    In my old neighborhood people that used to sleep in a pit and worked for 20h a day for a bread where happy they live a good life compared to the rest. :patsch

    I'm not reading too far into it at all, he made a dumb statement to try act ghetto and he's getting called out on it. His childhood sounds pretty damm normal to me.

    BTW, Nottingham University is one of the best in the country.
