I would hope their would be a bit more negotiation than that!

Wlad is the one now calling out Haye so I think it would be a bit shitty of him to then demand the larger percentage or nothing.

As for those who say Haye doesnt bring as much to the table as Wlad, it might be worth remembering that last year the proposed Haye/Wlad fight had an HBO tv deal in place.
When Haye pulled out, so did HBO and Wlad couldnt get them on board for several of his fights afterwards. Just proves Haye is the one with the pulling power here.

In Rummy's latest "On The Ropes" Wlad is interviewed and actually tells this story himself!

40 % for Haye is quite fair in my opinion, having in mind that he has not done much as heavyweight.

If I were Haye, I'd probably take 40% but I don't think it would be massively out of order to want a little more.

In Germany I think Haye should get 45%. If the fight is in Britain then he should expect 40%. Haye doesn't really need the fight right now. He could do with a few more fights to build experience. The Klits are the ones who want his belt so that Vitali can retire.
David will lose the respect of the hardcore fan but gain many more fans looking good for 3 - 4 more fights against contended oposition. Then fighting Vlad of course.
I think David holds a few good cards in this war of wills. I also dont really see the need to put a pretty green Haye in with Vlad. I really dont think he is ready and possibly may never be.

Based on the HBO info, this is what I was trying to say. It wouldn't be out of line for him to expect a little more, but it wouldn't be out of line for him to take 40% either. 55-45 is as much as he should get.

"50-50 or no fight" means he don't want none.

I hate Wlad and kinda like Haye and wanna see Haye knock his head into the 5th row but 40% is fair. The most he can possibly ask for is 45% but if 40% is all he can get then take it or you're a ***** Davey.

Why doesn't Haye make an offer to Wlad?

Then he could go on SKY SPORTS and say "FOLKS I FAXED AN OFFER TO WLAD. HE JUST HAS TO SIGN AND THE FIGHT IS ON!!!!"

Given that this is the fight us boxing fans want I wonder why this isn't happening.

I'm English, I would blame Haye.

Wladmir is the champ and a bigger draw in Europe

    Sounds like a fair proposition.

If Haye put this in writing and faxed it to the Klits I bet they would sign on the spot.

I'd say 60-40 to Wladimir Klitschko is fair. Haye has a WBA belt but you'll be able to pick those up at toys r us soon, they're just being given away. Wladimir is the real top dog of the heavyweight division and I don't see how anyone can say he's not the bigger attraction. But Haye has now established himeslf at heavy with 3 decent wins so deserves a better deal than he would've got last year.

I agree , 45 is probably the best he has a right to ask for.

one small point tho , Wlad knows hayes wants 50 so if he steadfastly refuses to offer it ....

98% hayes fault 2% Wlads fault
