Let me give a logical account as to why I think Pavlik wins this. 1> Martinez just came off a total war with Williams 2> Pavlik has had a good rest and has had easy wins since Hopkins 3> Martinez is getting very old for a middle wieght at 35 and age can suddenly catchup with a fighter much faster at 160 versus 175 or higher for example. 4> Martinez has way more miles on the clock. 5> Martinez has a serious size disadvantage. 6> I think this is his debut at 160. The punches will come even harder for him now albeit slightly. 7> Reach advantage Pavlik. Now on the other hand .... 1> Martinez is faster 2> Martinez has a better allround game Overall I fancy Pavlik to take this but I would not be surprised if Martinez landed 1 or 2 nice shots. In the end the longer the fight goes on the more I fancy Pavlik. But that is the beauty of a 2 horse race you can never count anyone out.
I see Pavlik having trouble pinning Martinez down early on then coming through to stop him late on , similar to Taylor 1 , i think if Martinez is to have success he needs to make Pavlik respect his power early on ..............

Pavlik TKO mid/late rounds. Martinez got dragged into a war against Williams very easily and he was hit often. I think a similar thing will happen here, except Pavilk has more power than Williams. It's not one punch KO power but his thudding shots will accumulate and I think he'll stop Martinez later on.
Pavlik will win this...:yep I just think he will have to much in every department and if it goes on the cobbles then Pavlik will have to much for him...:yep
