LOL, lose all ten times. Um No. I would pick Vitali to defeat Bowe. Bowe lacked defense, and focus. He had issues with good jabbers, and could be knocked down by solid to good level punchers.

Vitali's power was better years ago before multiple injuries, but he hit harder than Golota did, and Golota floored Bowie, and hurt him a few times with legal punches.

Why is Golota always the barometer for Bowe?? Thats like using Berbick as a barometer for Ali. Who has Vitali beaten that tells you he can hang with a prime RIddick Bowe? He couldnt even beat a washed up Lewis, so Im sure he could never beat a prime Bowe.

V.K. has already done MORE than Riddick Bowe has done.........****, Bowe was done by age 29............ He was ruined by his three-fight series from Holy and his two fights with Golota......... Holy was the SMALLER man, too......... Golota was about the same size.......

People scoff or knock V.K as a fighter, but he is a real ass-kicker....... The dude at age 38 is a lethal weapon........

FOLKS! Dudes' like "Sanders, Williams, Peter, Gomez, Arreola & Kevin Johnson" are not pussies galore........... Give V.K. his props............

Riddick Bowe, in his prime, was a freak of nature who threw combinations like a middle weight but made contact like a full grown HW. He'd be too much for Vitali, despite his performance against Lennox...

I can envision many different scenarios in this fight. In a prime-for-prime fight, Bowe would take him in a close contest. But then that would just be one fight. Bowe loses the re-match in another close affair, because he ate too much, wasn't focused, whatever, and then in the rubber match, somebody wins by DQ after both of them hit each other after the bell.

The rubber match result would be tricky as it would depend on who hits who first after the bell. If Bowe hits Vitali first, he wins cause Vitali would then get pissed and pull an Elijah Tillery as he kicks him, then there's a brawl after wards and eventually Rock Newman puts Vitali in a sleeper hold and then about four people inside the ring get thrown over the ropes by Bowe. If Vitali lands first after the bell, then he wins by DQ, because Bowe's security guy walks into the ring and hits him with the walkie-talkie and then we get a Bowe-Golota I situation.

Why not? Bowe and Vitali were clearly on a different planet skill wise, with Bowe being on the better one. Perhaps if vitali learned to keep his left up, he wouldn't have got clocked by that lewis right hand which made meat out of his eye. That version of Lennox, btw, was overweight rusty and far past his prime. A prime Riddick Bowe is a much better fighter than that.

Defense? you mean the way vitali keeps his left hand by his waist and tries to lean back to avoid punches? What a disaster against a skilled long armed puncher like Bowe.

Focus? What do you call Vitali quitting on his stool against a featherfisted cruiserweight with only 2 rounds to go? Bowe showed more toughness and focus in beating an undefeated prime ATG Evander Holyfield for the world title, than Vitali did in his whole career.

    1. Vitali never beat anyone close to the ability of a Prime Riddick Bowe. Bowe at least beat Evander Holyfield, who is without doubt a better fighter than vitali ever was.

    2. Vitali lost to the two best fighters he ever fought. I would say Vitali has issues with Top Level fighters on that basis alone.

Bowe was a much better all around fighter than the out of shape 37 year old lennox lewis vitali fought. That lewis cut vitali to shreds, hurt him a few times, and beat him by TKO.

I actually think Bowe was too past his prime in either fights to really tell, although i do think that Vitali would be difficult for Bowe outside. If Bowe could get inside where he would have the advantage, then this fight would get interesting. Ive never seen anyone get inside of Vitali and stay there.

My first thought was if Galota could school Bowe then Vitali really does, but I agree that the prime Vitali that fought Lewis in Lewis's last fight wouldn't last long with a prime Bowe. Lewis did get inside Vitali and this is where Bowe is better than Lewis, Vitali is a class act though so to me now it is a difficult one to call.
