If Martinez didn't gas in the late rounds of fights I'd say he had a very good chance of schooling Pavlik. But he does gas, and I think that will be his downfall. Pavlik by late tko.

I notice a lot of WHITE PEOPLE think Pavlik is going to win tonight. I smell a little racism.

He has virtually no shot outside of a lucky punch. We all know he can't deal with movement, and has a tendency to reach for his opponents when he can't find them opening him up for counters. Sergio is a MASTER counter puncher, and moves fluidly in the ring. He's going to box Pavlik's ears off, and possibly even stop him. And if you want to talk intangibles, Pavlik's confidance is SHOT since the Hopkins fight. He doesn't talk as brashly as he did before that fight and that's a big NEGATIVE for a fighter. Once he feels the fight slipping in the first half, his heart will probably sink into his belly.

martinez is basically white. lets not play this racism ****. yes pavlik is overrated, is it because he's white? i don't think it's entirely because of that because a lot of black fighters are also overrated. the reason they have in common is they knock guys out, then the casuals clinch onto you, and before you know it, the hard hitting fighter gets outboxed by the boxer. it's a lesson the casuals never learn. martinez will probably win tonight, he is the better boxer in my opinion. one punch from pavlik can change that though. looking forward to this one.
