Last nights FFN, IMO, was pretty damn boring. Vassell, Purdy and Craig Watson kn0ocking out some African guy that only started boxing last week isnt exactly mouth watering. BUT Glen McRory was there to brighten the show up. Seems to be getting worse by the week! :dead

Purdy fight was very good, the Watson fight was a joke, baby oil sales have gone up unsurprisingly.

Vassell-Purdy was a very good fight. Not Commonwealth title standard but two young guys scrapping it out. Watson did well, stepping up in weight at a couple of days notice against a banger. At least Sky are still showing domestic boxing.

I'm not sure how anyone can call the Vassell/Purdy fight boring. It was a cracking little fight between two fighters who literally never stopped throwing punches. Yeah it might not have been brilliant from a technical point of view, but both fighters gave it everything for the full 12 rounds, can't ask for more than that. Richie Davies seemed to enjoy it aswell so it must have been half decent

The Vassel/Purdy fight was great. I'm unfamiliar with the pair tbh but I really enjoyed it.

I wouldnt call that African guy a 'banger'. Sure, he has 20 stoppages but these Africans that get brought over, have about 8 fights in one night in some garage in Ghana against random guys of the street that they pay to knock out. That guy probably only started boxing a couple of weeks ago.

He'd been fighting in the UK for a while. Billy Nelson said he'd took him on the pads and the guy has serious power.

it was a suprisingly decent show given that the fights were relatively short notice. as someone has already stated, thank god we didn't get the original scheduled fight of woolcombe - mcdonagh.

you are entitled to your opinion though. even if it generally sucks :good

Seriously what the **** do some people want?
Purdy Vassell was a brilliant little scrap. No it shouldn't have been for a Commonwealth title but that doesn't diminish from how enjoyable it was.
And as regards the card Hatton promotions had to contend with the following fights falling through:

    Macklin Pirog
    Macklin Gevor
    Thompson Amar
    Woolcombe McDonagh

To top it all of, McDonagh apparently turned down the opportunity to fight Lusambya.

I have to disagree i enjoyed last nights FFN,the Purdy - Vassell fight was an exciting little domestic scrap. In my opinion the quality of FFN as improved quite allot recently compared to some of the mismatches we got last year.
