Do you agree Adamek should be the favourite against Arreola?

If a guy cant get in shape even if his life was depending on it. That guy Is prolly going to loose to every good boxer he will face.

I understand what you're saying. Especially experience wise Chris is a heavy. But a fully conditioned arreola is at best a cruiser... That is at probably, his best fighting weight. simply because his muscle and bone structure ain't built like that. However the flabby guy we have come to know has retained his speed because of his body.. Not gotten any stronger but some power in pushing forward to deal with bigger guys but its added no skills. height dosn'ty equal size..

You're absolutely right! Height doesn't equal size. Size equals size. And by just about any measurement you want to take Arreola is a natural heavy. Yes, he could certainly afford to slough off 20, even 25 pounds. But 50? That's ridiculous. Jus look at his neck, his wrists, his feet, his fist...He is obviously a naturally heavweight....Unlike Haye, for instance, who is lacking in all of the afforementioned areas.

Man, Adamek has been hit with a lot of bad news lately, all to do with plane crashes. First his good friend is killed in a small plane Adamek was supposed to be on and then the national tragedy. I will say that he's had some time to think it through and process it. Dedicate this fight to the lost ones and kick Arreola's ass in their name.

Even those advantages you list for Arreola are questionable. We don't yet know what power Adamek has at HW. If he's been able to carry his power from CW, then they are equal in power. As far as speed, Arreola is faster than his body would suggest, but he's not faster than Estrada, whom Adamek was outworking. Also, Arreola's speed is hampered due to his wide punching and stamina issues, in the latter rounds. Adamek is no PBF, but he's faster than Arreola.

I can't blame him. It's a devastating situation. I wouldn't be able to concentrate either. That's TWO plane crashes and alot of death Adamek has had to deal with very recently.

    Adamek
    Povetkin
    Haye
    Chagaev
    Ibragimov
    Boytsov

    All 6'1 - 6'3 215-225lb range.

I absolutly despise Kevin Johnson but he is good at rolling shots.

You really that much of a ****ing *******?

He's 29. The lowest he has been as a pro is 229. Highest has been 263. Is he a fatass? Uh, yeah. Is he a guy capable of making cruiserweight? Hell no. Not viably. Sorry, I completely disagree. He's a young man now, and as a much, much younger man he was a light heavy in the amateurs. Naturally, I'd say he's a little bigger than average for a heavyweight, actually. I mean for a modern heavy, too. So two brothers and Valuev the freak show sometimes make the division look full of giants but Arreola is bigger than Chagaev, Ruiz, Ibragimov, Chambers, Haye, Adamek, Kevin Johnson, Albert Sosnowski, Rahman, Peter, Gomez...most of the division and certainly those on top. I just named a huge chunk of the most recent title holders and challengers. He's a fairly big heavyweight. Frame and natural weight, far as I'm concerned.

I am not ignoring the weight issue but weight in boxing is often over emphasised. How many fighters have been jumping up in weight and had success? Jones Jr, Haye, Toney, Byrd, Holyfield and spinks.

I would rather choose a guy who is proven at an elite level even at a lower weight than a fighter who has proven nothing at heavyweight.

Who has Arreola beaten that at the time could even be regarded as a serious contender? Answer is nobody, Witherspoon was a unproven prospect living of his fathers fame and McCline was a decent contender in his prime but that was several years ago.

Arreola has done nothing to be considered worthy of the hype and praise he has gotten. If he does beat Adamek it would be his best win which is sad considering Adamek is a cruiserweight who has fought nobody at heavyweight of note. 2 fighters unproven quantities at heavyweight but one proven at top level at a lower weight I know who I would favour.

Wow, what's this idea that Ademek is some puny Heavy? He's bigger than Eddie Chambers. He's what 6/1 220 range? That is not small. This guy is tough as nails and has tons of skills to go along with it. Estrada has never been stopped before and fought defensively. We've seen this disgrace Arreola knocked down before, outboxed, have terrible footwork, come into the most important fight of his life out of shape before. This guy is simply not going to walk Ademek down. Adamek has great footspped at heavy and his speed and power are overlooked. But the main factor that night will be skills. Arreola has never fought past 10 rounds before, this slob won't be there till the end. I think Ademek Wide UD or late stoppage.
