Quite a few fighters. Ali, Holmes, Jeffries, Lewis, and Louis to name five.

The K-bros are under rated by most in classic fans, and in some quarters hated by modern fans based on ethic orgin.

Jeffries over Liston, Marciano, Foreman, Frazier? I can't agree with that.

Bowe got frustrated against Coetzer and was getting beat by Golota in both fights. VK was better, if not far better, than both of these.

Bowe was past his prime against Golota. He was slurring his words by 1996. We are talking about the very early 1990s Riddick Bowe. That Bowe was far better than the 2003 Overweight 37 year old Lennox Lewis who beat Vitali by TKO.

I understand. Bowe's probem was that his prime was so damn short and he fought a lot of no-hopers. He really did struggle against Coetzer and reverted to low blows to take him out. He had similar bs against Tillery. What we're judging here are the flashes of brilliance shown by Bowe versus the long period of almost absolute, though boring, domination by Vitali. It's a difficult pick.

Great. I knew far more about him when you did not need subtitles to understand what he was saying.

    Far better? Um, no.

If you want the facts, Vitali pulled out of the match because he re-injured his leg and did not to screw up a kick boxing match. Even Maskeav himself said the win meant nothing on ESPN a while back long before he was trying to get the WBC to force him to fight Vitali.

Anyone can lose on cuts. Even Ali once lost on cuts as an amatuer. Vitali proved himself vs Lewis and was up 4-2 on all cards prior to a cuts stoppage. If you ask me Lewis was gassed and shot his load. History shows us Vitali asked for a re-match many times, Lewis declined, then retired once he was going to be stripped. No man, not Lewis or Byrd has out jabbed Vitali.

BS, you said so here before. It was pretty conventient of you to change your tune now :)

    LOL, sure Tubbs offers more...

Bowe was never a speedy fighter. Vitali made Lewis miss plenty. In fact Lewis himself said Vitali was hard to hit. And by the way, Vitali took the Lewis fight on less than 2 weeks notice. He did not have close to a full camp for Lewis.

Lewis is a big man. Besides 257 wasn't his stripped down weight, he weighted in with clothes on.

I'm glad you brought up Donald, Vitali knocked him out. Bowe sucker punched him in a presser, then looked slow taking him the distance. Also, Bowe said Hide hurt him and took him 5 rounds. Vitali axed Hide in two. Intersting results with the same opponents. Vitlai's of course are much better. :deal

Huh? You said that. My point was Vitali defense is pretty good, and even as an older fighter, he made quick handed guys like Arreola and Johnson miss. BTW your Arreola pick was hilarious. He could not hit Vitali, and pressed it the distance until he was TKO'd.

Golota made Bowe look very bad, and hurt him easily with punches. Vitali hits harder than Golota does, and would not foul out. Bowe worked his but off in the re-match, got down to his ideal fighting weight of 235, and got spanked again.

To say Bowe was past his prime in 1996 looks like a convenient excuse. He simply lost focus, got fat, and had a wacky manager. Bowe's manager ducked Lewis, and backed out of a near done deal to fight Morrsion. Maybe he knew Riddick did not have the best chin in the world.

Prime Bowe? I would have to go with Bowe in this one.

I picked Vitali to beat Arreola by late TKO. Go ahead and search it. Looks like I proved you wrong again. Don't worry its not the first time. We all remember when you said before the first peter-toney fight. "Peter is going to knockout toney in 5. peter is way to powerful for a old slow ex middleweight". My prediction was "Toney is a better boxer than peter. He is going to use his craftiness to land counter right hands on peter all night". Your prediction could not have been more off.

Lewis blasted out Golota as did Brewster, but both Bowe and Lewis had wars with Holyfield, the Holyfield fights are probably the best indicators of the class of these three men. You can't have it both ways was Lewis gassed after six rounds or did 257 indicate Lewis was in shape, an in shape Lewis would not gas after six rounds.
Vitali showed his class in the Lewis fight and won the early rounds but he lost because Lewis was pounding him, its not unusual for a fighter come back after losing the early rounds and win how Lewis did and no doubt that version of Lewis would lose to Bowe.

Lewis was 37 years old, a career high 257lb, and rusty. He looked soft and overweight. yes he was out of shape.

    Wow, a Klit-ite bringing up 'excuses', there's a novelty :rofl:rofl:rofl

Remind us all of VITLAYS excuses again? Are they any better or worse than Bowes? Only difference is that Bowe didn't squeal them to every media source available. Same goes for WALDO too by the way, every time he lost it had nothing to do with his ability or glass jaw or whatever.

And he still beat the living **** out of VITLAY, despite what all the K-lovers will tell you.

"just look at his face" (Lennox Lewis just after the fight ended)

That says it all, but pricks like Mendoza will have you believe from that awful showing against an old man that VITLAY could have beaten the very best fighters that the HW division has ever had to offer, including prime Ali and Tyson. Shame on them, they know not what they do......

That's why Lewis was behind on all cards. Vitali got cut and lost. No shame in that loss. His skin betrayed him. Heavyweights just don't go undefeated, especially not in this era of super powerful, super big heavyweights. More often than not, a single punch can define the course of a fight.

The vitriol of Klit haters really sets them in a different class. They refuse to accept as logical any assertion that does not share absolutely their total negative assessment of the brothers. They really see no shades of gray on this one.
