If Pavlik wins tonight should he go after Hopkins?

I cant help thinking whatever he does in the future, if he does not get a Bhop victory on his record people will forever think of his battered face after their last meeting. Now surely at the very end of the road for Bhop a challenge to him might be a good idea? Im not sure if Bhop could creat the same ending now?

shouldn't have took the fight in the first place. it was a lose lose situation for him, if he'd won that fight he would have got next to no credit. I think now if he took the rematch he wouldn't get any credit still. He should forget the loss and move on.

For Pavlik's sake and legacy he should. If he did beat Hopkins then he would avenge his loss, which is huge, and then he would have some leeway into that "he was sick" for the first fight.

Honestly if boxing fans weren't so fickle he should just let it go, this was always lose/lose for him and he was pissed an uninterested that Bob had him fight him anyway. Lose one fight and you are just crap now with boxing fans these days.:-(

I agree with you shane. It's really annoying to see a fighter lose his 0, for sure the next day you will come on here and the word exposed will be as over used as it possibly can be.

If Kelly Pavlik wins he should fight Paul Williams, and if not Williams then Felix Sturm. I personally think that Sergio Martinez will win tonight by a decision. I feel that Martinez will be too slick and quick for Pavlik and work his way to a clear decision victory. Martinez will definitely have to avoid Pavlik's awesome power, but I think he is up for the challenge. I will be rooting for Pavlik, but won't be the least bit upset if Martinez wins. Martinez is a terrific fighter and seems to be a class act.

What the **** are you talking about? Where did I say he was crap? That's the way it is all the time. I said the same thing when Paul got beat, he got a rematch and beat Quintana now it's almost like he's undefeated again and his legacy looks good. It's been like that for years and years.

Say something and noobs turn it all around nowadays. :-(

He should forget about Hopkins. If he losses again that would be even worse. He should fight the Abraham and Froch quality.

why are you taking it so personal? He's obviously aiming it at boxing fans in genereal. There's plenty of evidence to back up what he's saying, on this forum alone. If you've not called someone **** after losing there 0 then there's no need to take it personal.

No, it would still be lose-lose. If Pavlik gets by Martinez perhaps he can look into a Bute matchup?

The bold part is incorrect. When it become obvious the Calzaghe fight wasn't going to happen, Arum offered Pavlik $1 million to fight Rubio on a Top Rank PPV. This was before Rubio was the "official" mandatory, so Pav turned it down, and asked Arum to find a bigger fight. They went after Winky, but Winky priced himself out. They went after PW, but Haymon ****ed that up. Abraham wasn't available because he had a mandatory with Marquez. Hopkins indicated an interest. HBO put up $3 million for each guy, and then Pav and BHop said, "Let's do it."

I think the super six is gonna go on way longer than expected (unoficially). It's gonna be hard to get fights with either of those guys afterwards because in my opinion there will be a good few rematches.
