How is it that some boxers never get that "ripped" physique?

:patsch Look at my avi where he is 239 does he look he can drop another 70 lbs to you?

Looks in good shape to me. 230 -235 would be a great weight forhim.

He weighed 175 as a teenage Amatuer and he was very skinny back then. He is definitely a HW even when in top shape.

At this point I'm training to look good, but when I was strictly training for boxing I was a stick figure, a very tall akward to fight stick figure none the less .

But now I think of it, maybe guys like Pavlik should naturally be ALOT bigger than they are, cause as I've referenced earlier trainers absoultely wanted me to have NOTHING to do with weight trains because muscle adds weight and lowers speed.

Some food for though I guess.

diet diet diet. just make smart choices. 5 meals a day also will keep metabolism at its highest and will keep you from becoming "starving" where we all tend to eat twice as much. add in training and there you go.

Then to hit the next level, you tweak the diet and add things to the training to either lean out or bulk up

Speaking of diets thats another great point. 5-6 meals a day is great, cause too many people eat until theyre stuffed. Its alot healthier to eat until your just not hungry to dont over do it.

But personally, I've never actually tweeked my diet to a professional level, or had someone around me that could do that. But I know that will help as well.

It's 90% genetics. I can eat at an all you can eat buffet including cheesecake and I'll wake up the next day weighing the same with the same 8 pack as the morning before. Fast twitch muscles make you build muscle easily which dramatically increases your metabolism. It's genetic, if you have a higher % of slow twitch fibres you'll be softer looking and more inclined to do well at endurance sports. You can change your muscle % to a degree but it is mostly genetics. Sorry chumps
