i dont know if i'm happy or pissed. waited all this time and i only get to see bute for 3 rounds didn't see the ko coming at all. bute seemed pretty tense and didn't seem to like miranda's style. it was a welcomed surprise...

 

wow. seems like a pavlik-bute fight is not gonna happen after pavlik's loss.

 

Depends. I'm pretty sure that if Pavlik wants to move up... HBO would still like to show this fight... But I'm not sure Pavlik's team would like to have him face a bigger version of Martinez...

Props to Bute. He took care of business like he was suppose to.

He didn't use movement and footwork to outbox Miranda but decided to apply pressure and be the aggressor instead. He was more at risk of getting caught by one of Miranda's big punches but at the same time he had more chances of landing his big shots. They took a chance and it worked.

Bute's now 6-0 (5ko) in championship fights.
