I never believed in this guy, but back-to-back KO's of Andrade and Miranda is starting to make me a believer. It no longer can be said that Andre Ward is the top dog at 168 lbs. As long as Bute is out there, the road to "Top Dog" at 168 has to go through him. Very impressed. I didn't even see the uppercut until the replay.
Do you still live in 2006? Miranda is a bum dude, hes been smashed by every top level fighter he has faced
Miranda has already been KTFO by Pavlik and Abraham...and Andrade was embarrassed by Kessler. He hasn't done anything that the super 6ers already haven't done.
Not like that man. And miranda was very prepared and wasn't even pushing the fight. Bute has it all, and he is to the trained eye the very best at 168. He is on par w/ ward in terms of skill, but bute has the equalizer whereas ward doesn't. That is what puts bute ahead of ward.
What do you mean not like that? Pavlik and Abraham just bashed him up until they stopped him in 7 and 4 rounds and that was before he was actually shot.
True esp after an impressive(more how he looked cause Miranda stinks) win. If Pavlik wins the same way they'll be thread putting him in the top 5 Middleweights of all time.
The dude is for real.. let's take allan green out of the super six and put bute so he can destroy everyone:nut
You can't feel sorry for Bute. He gets to fight bums until the Super 6 is over and then he gets a shot at the winner. A chance at all the rewards without any of the risk.
Pfft if anything this adds excitement to the Super Six and division. We knew at the start that one of the best fighters in the division wasn't in the six, as you couldn't rate Bute outside the top 3 when the Super Six started. All this means is that there is still more excitement to come and unfinished business once the Super Six is actually finished, in the form of Bute vs overall winner, and also due to the controversy in many fights, there are going to be plenty of potential grudge matches. OP is definitely right though that there is not going to be a properly proven "man" at 168 until they go through Lucian Bute.
I'm a huge Miranda fan. He actually looked a lot better tonight than he has before. He used the left hand somewhat effectively, for once. BUT...you could tell that Bute's being a southpaw was a problem for Miranda. That has to be fixed. Miranda has a long way to go yet, but I'm glad he seems to be improving with Joe Goosen. Props to Bute, though. I did not expect that ending.
