Pavlik just really isn't that good. He's not very athletically gifted and he's mentally weak. Extremely one dimensional too. Slick boxers have just exposed deficiencies that were always there.

He said that he couldn't see and Loew said don't say that or they'll stop it.

come on man, he came back from getting molested by taylor in the 2nd round of their first fight to win by a sensational TKO. he would've gave in if he's that weak mentally

    That was after the 9th.

He did say he wanted to quit at some point, but his corner did a great job in making sure the ref or the doctor couldn't stop it.

Frankly, if it's true Pavlik couldn't see, his corner should've thrown in the towel anyways. It was clear he wasn't right after the 2nd cut, and Martinez (smartly) just kept targeting them. It's the corner's responsibility to protect their fighter if he can't do it himself, and the way he was taking punishment the last 4 rounds, it should've been ended instead of sending him out to fight a losing fight at the risk of permanent damage.

Kelly was psychologically damaged tonight, he needed reassurance from his trainer that he won a round, I thought i heard him say im going to quit also, but i could be mistaken.

I'm pretty sure he said "I wanna quit" and his trainer said "NO! you can't do that!"

That was after the 10th or 11th round... he whispered it so it was hard to catch.

You know, I have never been a fan of Kelly. But, as one who went through a staph infection (not nearly as serious as Pavlik's) That does **** with you, especially if it was life threatening and on top of all those very heavy expectations.
