Im glad I enjoy skill over will. Wonder what it feels like for some of yous to watch these "warriors" constantly getting clowned by superior gifted athletes.

Pavlik isn't, and never has been, a brawler.

Sluggers then. whatever I dont follow these guys anyway. You can have the Froch's, Abrahams and Pavliks, I'll take the Martinez, Mayweathers and Dawsons of the game.

He is even further away from a slugger. Of course he's not a slugger.

I think it was pretty obvious Martinez would win, if the size difference wasn't too much. The funny thing is, is I pinpointed how Mayweather would beat Pavlik and it was very similar to how Martinez did beat him. I'm telling you, Pavlik does not beat a good, fast, elusive fighter. He is too slow. I think a few people who wrote my idea off, will reconsider, when they remember Martinez is only slightly bigger than Mayweather.

I think Pavlik needs to fight someone else he can't afford another loss.

Martinez won in an entertaining manner!

its not just a matter of styles, the talent level also plays a factor. pavlik is simply not as talented as martinez.

He loads up on right hand, thats his money shot. He's 1-2 robotic fighter. Kelly's a little more then most sluggers, he can pick off punches, has a decent defense, but he's not more then a slugger.

Martinez is nearly twice Mayweathers size. Slightly bigger? Martinez has a 3 inch height advantage over Mayweather. A 4 inch reach advantage(actually longer reach then Pavlik) and fights comfortably at middleweight.

Did Mayweather show the same in and out, footwork, combination punches, ect that Martinez showed against Pavlik against Oscar? He was flat footed and pot shoted. child please.

Oscar was a much trickier fight for Mayweather, than Pavlik would be. De La Hoya still had the ability to cut off the ring, hand fast hands and, crucially, knew how to throw combinations. The De La Hoya fight has no relevance.

I can't figure out if Pavlik didn 't step his game up, or if Martinez did...
