Kelly should go cut lumber back in Youngstown.

I cannot picture him being competitive with Dirrell, Kessler, Ward or Bute. Froch would wear him out and damage him.

Martinez would repeat the licking, Williams would walk over him.

So unless he can get a trilogy with JT, time to preserve your health and hang em up KP.

I think he would be a good shot against Williams. Not sure if he's mentally still in it though. I don't see much improvement if at all since the Hopkins fight.

Bro, just because he's not world class doesn't mean he can't make a living boxing. Not everyone can be the best. Way to many people are having a period when, really, they're just angry about Pav's fans.

He'd get sliced by Williams even worse.

He's made his living. Now he's damaged goods. He is a punching bag.

No. he should move up. When they showed the unofficial weights and kelly
was 178 pounds i knew he was drained. He's always come in at around 171 or 172. Kelly has just outgrown middleweight. he's too tall and broad
shouldered to boil down to middle. At 168 he will be fresher and have more
stamina. I'd like to see him challenge steiglitz for the WBO title at SMW and then defend that until S6 is over.

Yeah, Pavlik dont have the confidence anymore. Even in post fight and the last round he did not put it on the line when it mattered. No point of continuing if you are just going to fight tomato cans.

  9. OP is a proven ****ing moron, that's what I think. A fight with Abraham would be fireworks. Styles make fights Mr. Oden; and Pavlik simply does not have what it takes to hang with the fastest guy at 154-160. Martinez' athleticism is simply head and shoulders above what Kelly's is.

He needs a good trainer who can boost that confidence and at the same time, give him sound strategies and advice aside from "double-jab".

Strange how after almost every major fight there's a call for retirement...even in the absense of a brutal KO.

Has there been a Miranda retirement thread?

Pavlik's career took a step back tonight. It happens. He probably needs to re-evaluate things and make decisions(switch trainers?, go to a new weight class?)

    Yes, very logical.

A guy is the middleweight champion of the world, suffers only his second professional loss (first @ 160), is only 28 years old, and the thing he should do is 'hang them up cause he doesn't have it anymore'.

    Brilliant.

Ok fine, but she should be booked only as an undercard on Latin Fury PPV's until she beats a credible opponent.

Btw, Pavlik should retire, but we should 'respect Guzman'?

I don't think Kp will be elite anymore if he was even elite to start with. I think he's seen his best dayz.
