    I don´t think he was a light puncher, he was no one-punch KO puncher but he had pop. After the Paret tragedy he just didn´t commit to his punches anymore.

    As Red Cobra (post #30), JohnThomas (post #55), la-califa (post #69) and Titan1 (post #70) have already stated, Watt-Davis, Jr. is probably the classic answer here. Yes, Howard choked horribly, as JT pointed out, but Jim Watt was actually described as being slower than most lightweights, while Howard was identified by ringside observers at the time as the fastest man in boxing (including Olympic teammate SRL). Despite referee Padilla's one point margin for the Watt, it was not a close fight. Watt's entire career is testimony to how a slow boxer can become a credible champion at the lower weights.

    I wouldn't say either Winky or Pavlik were quicker than B-Hop, especially the plodding Pavlik.
