I picked Bute to beat Andrade and Miranda. With or without the quick stoppage he would have won this fight.

Well, I'm kind of tired to explain that in the Unified rules, when there is no time left in the 12th round, you just have to stand up. Your 20 seconds doesn't matter, because Bute was up at 8. Want another fact Keth?

 

I think Ward has all the tools to win a very close UD but Bute is a slick southpaw and when a slick & talented boxer is a southpaw it's always a little added degree of difficulty to deal with.

It's still a question mark as to how Ward would deal with a talented, experienced and proven southpaw.

His fight with Dirrell will show us a lot as Dirrell is a great switch hitter and boxes more as a lefty.

Bute didn't have to be in a good shape. It was the 12th round. Never had the idea to read the rules? You would look less stupid.

 

He was up at 8 with time left in the fight. If the refereree has properly assessed him, and let the fight continue or ruled him Ko'd (which would of course been acceptable as he couldn't stand without the ropes assistance) there was time left.

After the ref dicked around for over 25 seconds, yea the fight was over.

When he was up at 8, there was time left.
