    Dude, I don't care.

I just named 10 and you cherry picked joe louis out of it when you're claiming floyd is as good as the #1 fighter ever????

Where is your discrediting of hearns or duran???

Surely you can easily explain him being better than them as well.

It's styles mate! I'd pick Hearns over Floyd at 147 or 154 because of his height and punching power. I'd pick Duran over Floyd at 135lbs but not easily!

No fighter is perfect and that includes Robinson. Can you see Hearns losing to Turpin, Fulmer or Basillio?

    Be honest!

    Yes.

I could see a nearly 40 year old Hearns 150 odd fights and 15 years into his career losing to those fighters...In fact Id bet on it.

The Turpin fight was a hiccup that was corrected in the rematch...Tommy even at his best wouldnt have an easy time with Turpin at any rate.

Skill wise I think mayweather is one of the most technically gifted fighters I've ever seen live. That being said you do need to have a really impressive resume to back up such as claim as the one he is currently claiming.

What I really find funny is probably 90 percent of people on this board have never even watched a SRR fight unless it was on a documentary but they act like they know his entire resume of wins.

    Nearly 40?

He was in his early 30's when he lost to Turpin and it wasn't a hiccup, it was a ****in loss. As was Ralph Jones A LOSS!

The guy gets more breaks than a kit kat for **** sake. Even when he loses it doesn't count. Pull your head out Ray's ass!

    Fights I've seen

    La Motta VI
    Basillio 1 & 2
    Turpin 1 & 2
    Olsen 1 & 2
    Joey Maxim
    Fulmer 1 2 and 3 I think

That's off the top of my head and I've seen maybe half a dozen documentaries. Now Robinson fought 200+ fights but nobody has even seen 30% of that. I'm as clued up as I need to be and Mayweather is on his level skill wise NO DOUBT!

As is Pernell Whitaker, Roy Jones (Prime), Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and I could go on. It's bull**** nostalgia and talk of the ****in glory days that dominate these arguments and you can't win.

As soon as you see a documentary with Ray fighting in slow motion and a sad song playing the guy is UNBEATABLE!

    BULL****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Off the top of my head he was nearly 40 when he lost the Basilo and was over 40 when he lost to Fullmer..Im not going to scurry off the boxrec to check it, I know its about right and what matters more is that fact he was a long way into his career in terms of fights and rounds of punishment on his body.
He was not prime but he still managed to beat both guys and be highly competitive in losing efforts when he was bested.

The Turpin fight was a hiccup..the rematch proved this, though Randy still troubled Ray a lot with his style.
Its not realistic to expect someone to come in 100% in every single fight when you are fighting as often as Ray was..Im fairly certain Ray was fighting his 5th or 6th fight in the space of a month...a single month..coming into the Turpin fight, and from reports he was partying in between.

You sir need to get some perspective and pull your head out of your own arse.

Ive never said it didnt count, you are just making **** up now. But those performances need to be put into context to full understand them..you cant make direct comparisons to Mayweather's carefully planned record. Taking it on face value is what you expect from an 11 year old who just played Fight Night 4 for the first time and wants to look up about some of the fighters he was just playing with.

Keep saying Floyd is on Ali and Robinsons level all you like friend..doesnt make it so..The only thing it does do is make you sound like a fool.

I take it Bright Lights and Dark Shadows is on in the back ground?

I'm a fool because I compare an undefeated, five weight world champion who rarely gets touched to Ray Robinson.

    Nice one!

    Hiccup!
