Lucian Bute vs. Andre Ward

I would favor Ward here and I'm not a Bute fanatic like some of you guys but Bute does have some skills. Of course just because he KO'ed miranda doesn't make him a world beater but Bute has shown some boxing skills. He's not one to take likely. On the flipside I don't see how people can write off Ward just because he didn't knock out Miranda and got a decision. Ward has skills as well and he beat Kessler, who alot of people claimed he couldn't handle. I would say after the super 6 this would be a close fight with the decision going Ward's way. Ward will be busy with the tournament so it depends on who Bute fights from this point out.

And to the comedian who claimed Kessler would beat Ward in a rematch...you're dreaming and you should wake up fast. I implore you to watch the Ward-Kessler fight nothing fluke about that boxing clinic he gave out

Find me 4 posts, not threads, posts, with Bute fans saying he's miles ahead of the others. Good luck man. Ward, Froch and Dirrel fans start threads on the topic: why is Bute number 1? Bute fans don't start those threads. The mahority of Bute fans put him in the top 3. What's so wrong about that?

You pretend to know boxing, I guess you have noticed that Miranda was hitting Abraham badly in their both fights. You should also have noticed that Ward wasn't able to KO Miranda.

 

After seeing what Ward did to Kessler...........I'd say Ward UD Bute.

 

When the judge of objectivity can only be you, there's a problem. I don't know how you count, but Bute was up at 8 and the fight was over. Read the IBF rules. And get over that fight. Since then, Zuniga TKO4, Andrade KO4 and Miranda TKO4.

I will agree Bute needs to fight slicker boxers from now on.

You Bute fans keep using a combination of Bika, Andrade, Berrio as the road map to Bute greatness, and the truth is all those fighters are fringe fighters at best. That maybe lucky enough to fight a weak champ and pick up a belt that they would only hold for a fight or two. Now he has added Miranda to that list.

I am not basing my choice on what happened last night as I have watched both fighters for years and I believe Bute is the better of the two. He isn't as fast as either Andre, but he is very fast, and is a slick boxer in his own right. He has fought a consistently better level of opposition throughout his career, although both Andre's have a better single win on their records than anything that Bute does, overall the opposition hasn't been the same. People must also remember that Bute was dominating Andrade before running out of steam in the last two rounds, and he erased all doubt about who the better fighter was when he became the first man to stop him.

I think Bute's speed, skill, and power would give either Andre fits, and with the way Ward leaves his body open while lunging in he is very very open to the uppercut which has been a big part of Bute's arsenal since early in his career.

 

I understand the english language a hell of a lot more than I do animated faces. Would you mind elaborating for me?

 

I also think that Bute, besides his good skills, being the southpaw may give Ward more problems than most anticipate. I'll wait and see how Ward reacts with Dirrell before analyzing further...
