Guys, everyone is being super judgemental about Valero, and what kind of a human being he is. I am NOT saying that he is a good one, or that killing anyone ever has any justification. But I do want to point out one thing. While the extent of the damage hasn't been stated, Valero suffered a serious head injury in his motorcycle accident, probably compounded by getting hit in the head boxing all these years. He may well have some significant brain damage at this point (brain damage doesn't always manifest in physical symptoms such as slurring speech, there are different parts of the brain controlling different things).

Brain damage almost always changes a person's personality for the worst. It has been well documented that fighters with dementia pugalistica become more jealous, depressive and violent as the disease progresses. This is not something they can control any more than a deaf person can hear music. So, maybe there is an explination for why he can't control his anger and violence.

Again, I do not know for a fact that this is his case, just a thought, since his actions seem beyond bizarre. I am not trying to defend what he did, but presenting food for thought. But if he does have some progressive brain damage, maybe he should be judged less harshly.

The pictures of him fighting reveal it. He looks like a wild, crazed animal in the ring. It's obvious he has some serious mental problems.

Could be. Who knows. I doubt they will ever proof or find out it's because of his brain damage. Depends on how he was before the accident too..

I don't think he would have confessed if he knew how angry Nallege was over this.
