Nope, he retired, saying a guy in another totally different division refused to fight him, and left Calzaghe fighting an old past it Eubank. A couple of years later he came out of retirement to fight Calzaghe, passed out in training and then retired for good.

Please kill this stupid myth (one of many that Legendary Nights spawned). Leonard may have low-balled Pryor by offering him "only" $500k, but that was like 10 times Pryor's biggest payday. Pryor turned it down. Not only was this offer written about on a great Sports Illustrated article back then titled "The Champion of Confusion", but Pryor even talked about it after his fight with Lennox Blackmoore. He said "Leonard offered me $500,000", but Pryor wanted more.
Moseley ducked Williams more blatantly than any of these examples. He straight out said "No, his style just isn't a good matchup" And somehow, since he's looked at by Floyd-haters as some crusader, he gets a free pass.
Risk/reward is pretty much the reason for all the "ducks" in boxing. Even Bowe-Lewis. Although Lewis was a very lucrative fight, Bowe/Newman got big money from HBO for fighting soft touches like Dokes & Ferguson. Holyfield was looked upon as declined, judging by Bowe's weight and waistline I think he felt the same.
No he's not.... Beating Wladimir Klitschko is a real tough task..... You can't just beat a couple bums and no hoppers and than get into the ring with Wlad... Thats what Briggs thinks hes doing. Hes beating these no hoppers like McGee and all of a sudden he thinks hes ready to fight one of the Klits, lol.... It takes either 1. Someone special 2. Lots of time and preparation to beat Wladimir now. Wlad has developed so much as a fighter, that the calibur between him and contenders ranked 3-10 is huge. Povetkin knows this and he is taking his time preparing to finnaly be the man to dethrown Wladimir. Thats why he hired a former World Heavyweight Champion trainer in Teddy Atlas, cause he could sure teach him a thing or two into trying to beat Wlad or at least put a a much, much more effort than Chagaev, Chambers and all the other recent Wlad opponents. Wasting a lot of time? Yes....Ducking? No.
