Vitali TKO in 10. Lets face it Golota never was THAT good and even if Bowe was past it in there first fight it wasn't by much the fight before this was arguably Bowes best win and Golota took his ass to school before the DQ both times.
Yes Clay had just defeated a top 10 great, and although the top 10 great wasn't prime neither was Clay, his prime was a few years away. Still, Liston was level on the cards and no doubt won the event 24 hours later because everyone hated Clay for becoming a Muslim. Liston also won the event in the rematch because everyone was cheering for him, by the way.
37 year old, fat Corrie Sanders was actually an ATG. He also invented the concept of doing all your pre-fight preparation on the driving range - I'm surprised more heavies haven't picked up on this stroke of genius personally.
Here is a photo of Vitali after the Lewis fight just to dispel it was just a cut that caused the fight to be stopped. Obviously his face has taken a battering as we can see he has a badly cut cheekbone he also has a bad cut above his eye, a swollen mouth that is also cut and bleeding, he has the swelling above his left eye and other cheek is red and swollen as well, this after six rounds not twelve. Lewis and Steward had obviously worked him out after he had won the first four rounds, if we say Lewis did this in the two rounds he won Vitali was going to be stopped one way or another that night. This is no one punch damage and this is the only fight Vitali has really been hit in which shows you just how good Lewis was. There is no way a fighter who looks like this after six rounds, four of which he won, is going to last the distance. Lewis was at the end of his career and not in good shape, most people here agree Lewis would have lost to prime Bowe in this shape. Some Vitali supporters think Lewis got lucky in this fight but that photo is not lucky.
Yep, but apparently VITLAY was going to overcome all these injuries and win the 2nd half of the fight - because Lewis sat down too hard on his stool at the end of the 6th :rofl:rofl:roflatschatsch
I might just create that thread actually....but I bet all the Klit-ites pour scorn on it. Give me a minute I'll create the thread in the general forum and you watch the ******s react. Or should that be over-react because they can't handle the truth :huh
Created. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=219906 Let's see what happens here, I reckon I'll get more flame than usual for this one, but it's all good
oh come on man you made a thread about this fight and numerous posters explained to you how Vitali did it to preserve his body and career and caught major backlash from the American media for it. He has never did it since then and never will as he has said before. Over in Eastern europe they dont have this "heart" stigma we have and treat boxing as more of a intellectual game then a emotional game.
I suggest you re-read Mendozas posts if you think I'm the one with the agenda. I actually praise the brothers when they deserve it....it doesn't happen very often admittedly but I'll give credit where it's due. What I won't do is praise them for stuff that doesn't deserve praise, like losing to an ageing, fat, untrained champion and then acting like a ***** demanding a rematch with the guy when you know he's about to retire and constantly calling him out for 5 years afterwards whilst running from Hasim Rahman - I won't praise a fighter for that in a million years. I'll also pour scorn on anyone that talks about great KO percentages and being an all time great when their fighter got taken to the late rounds by Danny ****ing Williams - and he's still one of that guys best ever wins
What bollocks Are you suggesting that Eastern Bloc men don't see it as a genuine loss when they quit? Maybe you should go and tell that to all the Klit-lovers that were creaming in their jeans when Brewster/Peter quit then? They made educated decisions too, but they're bitches and VITLAY isn't, right? Always the same with Klit-ites, one rule for their guys, another rule for everyone else.
