Three christmas's ago I purchased the ultimate classics by ringside when they were on sale for 50 USD. The two I purchased lasted until this day with no deterioration to the foam or leather. Considering that I work out 5 days a week and sweat like a pig these lasted a long time.

Finally forked out the year worth of gift certificates for the white training reyes 18oz gloves. Hopefully in 2010 my knockout percentage will go up as a result of the expensive purchase.

As it turns out, amazon would not take one of my gift certificates. Instead of the reyes I decided to try the fighting sport brand. And then I got some new headgear on the titleboxing.com website.

I was thinking of buying some Reyes gloves for sparring. Lovely gloves, shame there are no shops around here where I could try some on for a feel

I got these in green 12oz about 6 months ago for £15 but they are usually £25.29. They have been the best bag gloves I have owned so far. There is great protection around the fist back of hand and for the thumb. The only thing is there is not as much protection around the wrist as I would like but for the money you cannot complain.

The gloves are a good tight fit and the leather and padding make it easy to make a fist and open the hand.

The hook loop verco strap is great and adds to the tight fit of the glove.

The weight is well distrobuted throught out the glove.

The only other problem with them is the colours but then again this is a boxing gym not a fashion show!!!

They are also lasting well for me I have used them for 6 months doing heavy bag and pad work and they look as good as new.

Protection - 4/5. Good protection apart from the wrist
Style - 3/5. I love the shape of the glove but not the coulours
Durability - 5/5. Still like new after 6 months
    Cost - 5/5. £25.95 is a bargin

I think that is how they roll. They also will probably slice your partner's faces up. If I were you, I would use them for when guys visit the gym.:hey

Winning and Grant make the best boxing equipment money can buy. If it isn't manufactured by Winning or Grant, I ain't ****ing with it! Luckily for me, I live about 20 minutes away from the only Winning showroom in the USA!

TITLE Platinum Lace-Up Training Gloves REVIEW

I just ordered the Title Plat lace up training gloves. They cost me about 80 dollars alltogether with shipping and everything. I had recently bought the Title Gels 16 oz same price, but i had returned them because they weighed about 18.5 oz, but besides that they are a pretty decent glove. Overall, however I believe this is titles best glove.

I ordered them in red. They are made entirely out of leather, they are very well padded all around from the wrist to the knuckle and behind the hand, and everywhere. I imagine that winning gloves must feel similar. They have a good length of lace to tie gloves up with, and the thumb feel totally comfortable to me. I am 5'7, and I fight at 141 walk around about 148, so if your bigger, the gloves may be tight on some but they are absolutely perfect for me, so no complaints there.

The design, not the comfort(although I am super satisfied in this category; I have no complaints)is why I decided on this glove. I am a fan of classical looking boxing equipment, so flames/skulls/logos/camo/ etc. is a major turn off for me. This is a bright solid red(or black) Glove that only bears the "T" in the middle of the glove, and the "TITLE" sign above the wrist. Just the way I like it.

I've sparred with it a few times already and it feels superb. Hurting my hand is the last thing on my mind when training and even though it is well padded, my hand still feels like a bigger more padded version of my fist, not my hand hitting wall to wall and the glove making contact before the fist. You could almost get away with not wearing handwraps. When I punch, I feel a good solid "strike" and not a "mush" onto my target. Not to mention the inside of the glove is EXTREMELY comfortable. The glove opens a little already, so I imagine when it gets broken in some more, I will be able to open it up completely and practive a more effective full guard
