Is it fair that Bernard Hopkins is currently still in the p4p top ten?

How? One notable win in over three years. There isn't one rational reason to include him. Has no business in there whatsoever. How people exculde Wlad and have Hopkins in is beyond me.

I was very disgusted with bhop's last performance but he should still be in it until someone can take him off of there. So far he kept winning but if he doesn't fight a credible opponent after jones and the tune up then he should be taken off.

Roy Jones Junior is completely irrelevant now. How big of a name they are doesn't mean ****. It's how good they are. RJJ is **** and has been for quite some time. Hell, in that case Haye beating Holyfield should get him in there because Holyfield is a big name. Doesn't work like that.

im new to posting here, i usually just read the posts but i had to comment on what you guys are saying....its not THE RING that is saying the 2 different things, & it wasnt an article. it was the writer, jeff ryan, in his monthly piece called 'ryan out loud', that the 'dawson should not call hopkins out because hes old' thing was. it wasnt even an article, it was his monthly column, where he spouts off on various things.

the ring has the most un-biased ratings that i can find.

what you people fail to realize is that the rings ratings is made up of multiple people in the boxing business not just the writers/editors at the ring. Its from journalists/boxing analysts all over thats why they are so eschewed. If you took actual ratings from the guys at just the magazine it would be totally different.

To be honest does it really matter at this point in his career. He has been a great servant to the sport of boxing.

No! and if oscar didn't own the ring he wouldn't be in there at all.
Borenard is the most overrated fighter in all of boxing history. I said back in 01 that he'd whoop trinidad because of his style and that he was a real middleweight. Everyone thought felix would beat hopkins and he pulled the upset(if you want to call it that) and then everyone rode his dick since then. He's done ****all since. Beat a severly weight drained and under-prepared tarver and bludgeoned poor winky in a foul fest does not an ATG make. He couldn't even beat a limited jermain taylor, and got embarrased by joe calzaghe. Fukk nard pops. he's holding the sport hostage and it makes me sick. Fight bute or dawson or fukk off. Hell, rematch glen johnson for God's sake, but do something constructive and stop ripping off
    the fans.

Well, then those people they ask in the boxing business are ****ing morons. Pandering to some bull**** rather than facts.

Hopkins lost at middleweight twice to Taylor.
Lost at light heavy to Calzaghe (a super middle FFS).

Beat Tarver at lightheavy. Good win.

The other guys he's beat (Wright, Pavlik) were coming up 2 or 3 weight divisions to fight Hopkins.

That's not a P4P fighter in my eyes.

Hopkins has done **** all in the last few years. I simply can't see why he'd be rated so high in a true P4P ranking.
