Since Termeliksetian/Bunema he's been taking on greater and greater challenges on a very steep incline (culminating with the universally recognized "man" at 160) and performing well enough that most observers feel he should be 5-0 in that span rather than 3-1-1.

Margarito had been a pro for over six years when they met...Martinez barely over two. Their basic styles may not have changed but people mature into their styles. Margarito's style is effective in a lot of situations, but isn't really one that has much room for evolution or maturation. Martinez has matured not only physically but has refined his own style into something that's effective at the top level, discarding what doesn't work and honing what does...or do you really think he'd still draw with Mario Javier Nieva today?

I don't know about that. Pavlik applied intelligent pressure for several rounds, and even when he did he wasn't dominating Martinez in those rounds (though he did win them). His hands are still heavier than Margarito's...and Martinez blinking off one right hand from KP speaks to being able to blink off the equivalent offense from Margarito (about a dozen of his chops) - and for all Margarito's busyness he isn't as busy as Williams (who Martinez all but officially beat), evidenced by their own head-to-head encounter.

Me too - regardless of the outcome. If Margarito beats Garcia, he deserves to be back in the mix at welterweight regardless of what he is or isn't guilty of. If Garcia wins, in contrast, then he deserves the push (and Margarito is pushed to the back of the line).

There was never any problems concerning Margarito's gloves before the Mosley fight yet you choose to believe he was loaded then too

Margarito probably had his gloves juiced in that fight to, who knows how long he was unleashing his cheatwrap brickfists on fighters for imo they should void his whole career apart from the Mosley loss, in my eyes he is 0-1.
