In the context of middleweight history, which victory is more significant?

Taylor was undefeated, Pavlik not. Taylor beat an atg mw to become champ, Pavlik not. Taylor had a draw with the former undisputed 154 champ, beat the man at 154 at the time and a former beltholder at 154 after becoming champ. Pavlik´s reign consisted of some bums and a loss against the man Taylor beat for the title.
Taylor lost his title to one of the best contenders out there. Pavlik lost his title to a 154 belt-holder - Taylor beat this type during his short reign.

    Not even close imo.

I voted about the same but its Martinez's win. The man is 35, past his prime, up against a much bigger man and completely schooled a dominant MW.

As for taylor being Undefeated, go and watch the Winky, Spinks and Hopkins bouts and tell me with a straight face taylor was undefeated

1 thing I agree with, Taylor lost his Taylor
