Posted this is in the General, but think i will get better answers here Power - (1st) Wlad gets the edge here, may not be as explosive as Haye but i think he does hit harder. (2nd) Haye, people may disagree with me here but i think Haye may hit a little than Vitali now, prime for prime the edge would go towards Vitali. (3rd) Vitali, clearly out of his prime and only threw arm punches in his last bout. General Speed - Haye probably has a clear edge here being the smaller man coming up to heavyweight. Wlad has a fast one two. Vitali has clearly slowed down over the years. Chin - Vitali has a very clear edge here over the other two. Wlad has been stopped a number of times although he has not been Knocked out cold. Haye has been down a number of times and was stopped earlier in his career although he was still on his feet. His punch resistance will be a huge deciding factor in a fight with either Klit Offensive Skill - Haye takes this for me due to his variety and his aggressive style whilst on the attack. Vitali takes this over his brother due to his willingness to attack and put unbearable pressure on his opponent, on a side note he would still be nightmare for any heavy in history with his impressive workrate. Wlad seems unwilling to finish opponents when he has a clear opportunity but has proved that he has one punch power in either hand, his lack of willingness to finist an opponent off could be fatal in a fight with Haye. Defensive Skills - Wlad has a style which has proved very difficult to break down, much of his defence lies with battering ram jab and his fast footwork. Haye proved against Ruiz that he was very good at avoiding punches on the defensive with slick headmovement and clever footwork, still room for improvement. Vitali does'nt really have to rely on his defence due to his chin and his ability to put his opponent on the backfoot. Mental toughness - I feel Haye has proved himself in this department time and time again, took on Enzo Macc in what many saw as a 50/50 fight and snatched a belt from Mormeck in a foriegn country after a KD. Vitali showed incredible heart against Lewis proving he could take a punch as well as give one, should not have quit against Byrd. Wlad has been proven to press the panick button when in trouble. it all makes sense but doesnt paint the true picture. i dont think not being knocked out cold makes you any less chinny than someone who got sparked clean out. Khan was still trying to get up agaisnt Prescott remembr. at the end off the day, i dont think the brothers have faced anyone as good as Haye, but Haye has not faced anyone as diffucult to beat as the brothers. i do think Haye is missing the key thing he needs to beat the brothers and thats work rate. he looked very tired in a pacey fight like last night.
Wlad has a larger punch selection than he shows. Before Sanders flattened him, he would hook off the jab, use uppercuts, throw fluid combinations - but Steward has knocked that out of him because he's too open when he does so. We saw it briefly against Rahman, in fact. But Haye, at his best, puts a lot more thought into it - he really sets hi shots up beautifully when he chooses to.
Good post mate. I think Haye can beat Wlad if he gets around that 1,2 combo and manages to keep busy. He needs to be in extremely good shape, even more so than he was against Ruiz.. He hasn't got the best defense, but if he somehow manages to keep the head movement slick and move around he can do it.
Haye will not win a boxing match against Wlad. He's got a punchers chance to win a fight, so he should be aggressive and in Wlad's face from the off, try and unsettle Wlad, show him that the fear factor isn't there. I think Haye could decision Vitali though - he probably doesn't have the speed or mobility to outland Haye over 12 pacy rounds. Although Vitali KTFO Haye is a probably a lot more likely outcome.
Good OP. What I dont get on here is how some people are writing off Haye outright. Ok so the Klitchko's are decent boxers, but who have they fought to get this godly status that many reserve for them?!?
I think Haye has a better chance with Wlad.Vittali would i think be able to take Haye`s best shots and Haye would not be able to keep away from Vittali for 12 rounds.With Wlad he has more chance as Wlad knows he cant take a good shot so will be unlikley to risk throwing too many right hands and getting caught.Haye will still have to get past the jab but it will be easier than trying to cope with Vittali trying to knock him cold with rights.
thanks for the comments, i just feel Haye is getting wrote off way too soon, i feel its a case of who lands first if a fight with Wlad comes off, i still favour Wlad but im sure Haye will enter the ring ready to rumble.
