also for the British title. Murray will keep the Lonsdale belt outright if he wins.

Should be an easy enough fight for him to shake of some ring rust then hopefully fight a decentish name in an eliminator or something.

The Euro title is really getting like the Commonwealth if they are sanctioning these kind of fights.

I think I've seen Buckland on FFN and he looked alright but this is taking the ****.... nearly as bad, if not worse than Lawton getting a shot.

Other countries seem to have given up on the Euro title, maybe it's time we moved in that direction. It's pointless having these kinds of titles if the best aren't competing for them.

At least Murray has a fight though

I kind of agree. The Euro title has lost its tenacity, but it is still a stepping stone into getting you recognised by the World sanctioning bodies. John Murray has said it himself, he wants to move up step by step and not get carried away. This is the case with a lot of fighters, which is why 'the best aren't competing for [European title]' as you said. When he wins this strap it's great for him as he can then begin challenging for bigger things.

Will definitely be attending this fight anyway. WAR MURRAY

I like Buckland but he is far below deserving of a fight for this title. This is a ****ing joke. Having said that I hope he wins.

i get the feeling the EBU might be in financial trouble which is why they are shipping there belts out to who every pays the highest fee rather than those deserving.

Agree with the standard of some recent Euro title fights being poor, but just happy Murray is finally fighting. He's been inactive through no fault of his own really. Will be great for him to win the Lonsdale belt outright as well as being European Champion.

It is short notice, but he is always in the gym and in good condition so he should be fine. Hopefully he wins this fight impressively and gets his career back on track.
