Joseph Agbeko 6. Wladimir Sidorenko 7. Silence Mabuza 8. Nehomar Cermeno 9. Eric Morel 10. At some point you have to draw the line, IMO. Some divisions are really thin and 1st V 4th in such a division could be a mismatch, but also, by these standards, deemed 'worthy' of the ESB title. I say set the bar at: 1st V 2nd/ 3rd for the right to hold title and, in some cases, 2nd V 3rd. Outside of that and you are going to start giving titles away just to fill gaps. From the very beginning when we started these rankings we have been trying to avoid scenarios such as that:good.
I say no. Especially if Montiel is #4. However, I do happen to think Montiel beats Moreno or Perez... Interesting idea this "ESB Championship."
No. The winner of that fight has to fight Perez before he can be considered the main guy at bantamweight.
I agree. Hasegawa is the #1, but not the champ until he beats Perez and vice versa (except for Perez being the #2)
I say no too. Even though this is the fight i'm looking forward to probably the most. Number one and number four ain't on for a title to me.
As much as I agree, how many years will we have to wait for the number 1 fighter to fight the number 2. it could be years before a champion get named. my point here is the 4th ranked fighter Montiel so much worse than the 3rd or 2nd, and I dont think they are. Same in the case of Alexander/Khan/Maidana. At least at light welter it looks like they will fight each other. remember i did a vote for the number 1 super middleweight, and nobody had less than 20% of the vote nobody had more than 30%

With all due respect, Rob, giving titles away just because top class fighters don't always fight each other makes the ESB system no different to the ABCs, IMO. The whole point of the rankings in the first place was to devise a system which has been implemented by fans which would reflect one thing that the ABCs don't: FAIRNESS. As I said, there needs to be a proper set of rules in place otherwise the whole point of the rankings is completely diminished.
ok. i think maybe a rule should be number 1 vs 2/3, in some cases any of the 3. some divisions there is no clear number 1
