Froch by TKO and all my vcash is going on it...:yep

 

I re-watched the Ward fight yesterday and something's missing from the Kessler of old. A little bit of timing and a little bit of snap gone, no doubt. Home-town advantage might work against Froch but I think he'll find a way to stop Kessler inside the distance.

Ward is a super mover though.. Froch isn't. I think Mikkell will land on him all night stop him in the mid-late rounds

Enough with the one line answers, someone give us some X's and O's and a thorough breakdown.

 

Mikkel Ud, his style is made for somebody who is easy to hit, his jabs, rights and uppercuts are lethal.
He looked dogsh*t against Ward cos of wards movement, but Froch simply does not have those skills.
All this talk of Froch KO'ing KEssler is alot like the talk of Pavlik KO'ing Hopkins, and I see a similar style beat down, cos Froch is way too easy to hit, and Kessler will not get drawn into a slugfest like Pascal, or act like a ***** and give away rounds like Dirrel.

 

I think Kessler wins a unanimous decision here and keeps the hometown run going in the Super 6.

Alot of people seem to be banking on Kessler being shot here and i just dont see it, his 2 defeats were simply against 2 better fighters. Calzaghe arguably the best super middleweight of all time and Ward, who IMO is currently the best SMW in the world. Against Joe, Kessler was very competitive until Joe adjusted and pulled away late, while against Ward, although he was awful, Ward is just that good IMO and beats any version of Kessler.

Ward and Calzaghe are both outstanding boxers with above average handspeed, and i think its this type of fighter who will always give Kessler problems. Froch has all the heart in the world, is a big, natural SMW with decent power, but he isn't blessed with either speed or skills. I'm not totally convinced with Froch's power at elite level either, he hit Jean Pascal with everything he had and only stopped an exhausted Taylor in the last few seconds of the fight after a barrage of punches, and Kessler hasn't shown that he has a weak chin in any of the fights i've seen him in.

Kessler's all round better boxing ability and hand speed, plus the fact he's a wounded animal after the Ward defeat and fighting in front of his home fans, sees him win a comfortable decision IMO.
