http://ekstrabladet.dk/ Seems Kessler is pretty confident. He usually doesen´t say these things. Is he getting reckless, or does he walk the walk? I´m really looking forward to this saturday!
Nah, he'll stop him around the 10th round. But if Kessler can hurt him early, like Taylor did, he should be able to stop him inside 6.
As much as I'd love to see Froch's chin tested I have my doubts. Kessler will probably box cautiously the first couple of rounds.
THis will be a slugfest, both these guys arent good boxers but they will pulp each other.Kessler needs to motivate himslef,he was exposed by Ward but then Froch isnt really on Ward's level.Froch has been put down before and naturally Kessler fancies his chances.
What? Are you suggesting he hasn't proven his chin already? Kessler is not terribly quick. Froch is the type to get buzzed from quick, accurate punches that he can't prepare himself for, for example the Taylor KD or against Dirrell when he was stunned. Kessler is more heavy-handed than a sharp, crisp, quick puncher from difficult angles. Kessler will punch down the barrell and Froch will see them coming all day, make him miss (his defence has improved, see the Dirrell fight where he picked off Dirrell's jab plenty of times, but he didn't really get the chance to prove it because Dirrell ran away, he's been working on his D though) or take them with ease in my opinion.
Froch and his limited skills, has overextended his time as a top man at 168lbs. I really enjoy watching him fight cause he's exciting, but even that shouldn't blind us from a reality check in his case.
As opposed to the other type? Kessler has comparable speed to Taylor. In fact, his right hand may well be faster than Taylor's horrible "Robin Hood" right hand. Hitting Froch is about as hard as hitting a cow's arse with a baseball bat. And nobody's taking Kessler's punches "with ease". Froch has a good chin but it's not unassailable by any means.
This isn't impossible actually; Kessler definitely has more bottle when it comes to finishing than Taylor and the opportunity is always there with Froch, though he seems to have started to box a bit more in his last couple of fights rather than heading out all guns blazing and sticking his neck on the line. Froch can't really hope to box Kessler either though, and at some point he's going to have to turn up the heat and pressurise in bursts. It's all a question of how much skill and heart Kessler has left.
KO in 2 rounds? I doubt it, Froch has a good chin, i dont think it will be exposed that early. IMO if any1 is going to get KO'ed it will be Kessler as he confidence is at a low at this point. If Froch can walk him down, i think Kessler starts to lose heart and might even be stopped later on, say round 9 or later.
I don't think Kessler knows how pressed Froch is to win. He'll throw the ref at him if that means getting the W.
He will have to say something like this to save his bandwagon.... I would be really impress if he can ko froch in 2. i won't hold my breath.
