Perhaps snorting an eight-ball a day has clouded his judgment.

No ****en way...Lucian Bute is an actual contender, Calzaghe will only come out of retirement for a sure thing.

If the money is right, he could take a greater risk. HBO runs Bute's show from now on.

Calzaghe is probably hesitant to face Bute, who is a modern version of himself but with a heavier punch.

    It would be good tho.

Technique wise I think bute is better than calz but what joe did have in his day , was great speed , mental work rate ( and certainly in his younger days a decent dig )

His hands had already given up , so his power was gone

His stamina and speed will ber ****ed after the party year out

He would get leathered off Bute now

Leave Calzaghe alone. I am Romanian, but lets recognize Calzaghe was better.Lucian has a lot of work to do to arrive compare with him.

It's all over the UK medias today, and they seems to think JC will rematch Bhop. 3 weeks ago, some of you taught I was inventing a rumor....

I guess the infos I got back then were pretty accurate and we should ear more about this situation soon, since we are looking to find Bute his next opponent, and I'm not talking about a silly mandatory with Bika or Brinkley.

So, if JC has the balls to come back, how would he do against top notch Lucian Bute?

Maybe you take a breather and think again about your dear Joe, I guess he misses the spotlight and his words were well intended back when he said he would never come back, but never, for a pro boxer, doesn't always mean never....

Same here, but, I doubt he would wanna face someone that represent a high risk of taking away is perfect record.

On the other hand, if HBO brings enough money, we could be in for a great surprise.....

Tell Bute to go fight the winner of Dawson-Pascal if he wants a hard fight, other than that keep to beating bums in the Bell Center and stop prospecting fights with old men.

I get the feeling due to Bute getting publicity and Calzaghe seeing it as a winning fight, he'll come back against B-Hop to get the ring rust out against a guy he knows won't make him work hard and then go for Bute.

I also think he'll try to dominate B-Hop to make a statement then hit Bute.

I say 85% of the Calzaghe that fought Roy Jones Jr would be enough to deal with Hopkins and more than likely to deal with Bute.

Be interesting to see if he sticks around long enough if he comes back to fight the winner of Super 6 too.
