I take it these were the same guys who claimed Pavlik stabbed one guy, held a beer bottle to another man's throat, wrecked his SUV, and got arrested on each occassion. Or are these the other guys, you know, the ones who claimed his father died right after he entered alcohol rehab. It would be very helpful if you could tell us if this information all came form the same group, or was it multiple groups. That should not be hard to figure out. Police records are public domain, so how about providing a link or two:patsch

    Good Luck.

    Welcome back, boo.

I guess some people won't be satisfied until they see someone say "yes, my favourite fighter is crap, he will always lose to that guy no matter what, he was never that good and was always limited and overated". NOONE will say that about his favourite fighter.

Yes, he had it coming by coming off as arrogant and know-it-all in many of his pre-fight posts. But the man admitted he was wrong, gave Martinez his props for being the better man, and wrote about his thoughts on his favourite fighter's performance.

Some of the posters that are bashing him here, have never offered any insight or contributed anything to this forum, except for criticizing, being 'smart' and ironic, and throwing smilies around.

@ Jack: You made some very good points in that post.

    Right on Booradley!

Martinez did not win that fight, Pavlik lost it.

Maybe he had money on Sergio?

a lot could have happened that didnt and a lot happened that shouldnt have but that's boxing and martinez fought like a champion. props to him. now there is a great re-match with williams on the horizon for the mw title. kelly has the ability to comeback. i have no doubt. a lot needs to happen but he's still only 28 and he is still strong as a bull. its easy to be a fan when everything is on the up and up and the world is at your fighter's feet. i'll pull for kelly no matter what happens. i honestly feel he is physically capable of so much more than we've seen since he beat taylor twice.

he's had a string of **** luck and now got soundly beaten by a someone who is much much better than i gave him credit for. martinez looked great at 160. i honestly didnt think he'd look that good at mw. i'm concerned about kelly coming in as heavy as he did but whatever, one of many things to work on. getting undressed like that on the big stage will make a fighter question himself and get discouraged. i truly hope he can bounce back and realize the potential a lot of people see and has gone unfullfilled.

two fighters just "having" shane's number didnt kill his career...its not the end of the world for kelly. but it is gut check time. the status quo isnt working. its either time to put the women and children to bed and go looking for dinner, rededicate and work on what hasnt worked or time to call it a day.

Thank you for promptly ponting out which side of the equation you belong on. I'm sure we would have figured it out on our own, but thanks anyway.

    Oh and classy post Boo.

The fight was more competetive than most here say it was. I didnt think Loew was all that bad this time around but it definetely looked clear to me Pavlik didnt train properly for this fight, he was maybe looking ahead to williams just like he did with Calzaghe when fighting Hopkins. The cutman was absolutely atrocious when Pavlik got cut and saw this young guy who looked like he maybe Pavlik's bar buddy I was thinking to myself "Where the feck is Miguel Diaz?" Lesson learned for team Pavlik, he should exercise his rematch clause, he can beat Martinez but that fire will need to come back like when he first won the title.

If Top Rank wanted out, then it obvious Pavlik is just blindly loyal. If so, face reality and maybe keep Jack at camp while someone ELSE really trains you!!!
