The death penalty is completely outdated and needs to be removed from the justice system. If someone is incapable of behaving in a functional society, even in jail, they need to put into solitary confinement. The death penalty was created by angry lynch mobs looking for revenge.

Theres no doubt there have been innocent people executed for crimes they didnt commit. Look at the Salem witch trials for example.

That being said, jail IS a second chance. Its so people have a chance to rehabilitate themselves and learn to function in society. Hence the options for schooling etc.

What I disagree with is the comfortable life theyre allowed to live in jail from taxpayer money. Cable? just for example.

Im not by any means excusing this guy for what he did, but he clearly had mental problems. If you look at brain damage cases, which im not saying for certain was his situation, certain parts of the brain control certain behaviors. temporal lobes etc..anger controlling, right and wrong etc. Human beings are THE only animal with a higher brain that censors right from wrong etc. Take that away and you would be a sleeping, eating, killing baby making machine.

Some of it has proven to be hereditary, sometimes an event activates it etc. Who knows what this dude was like before his accident or if he was a time bomb waiting to go off. Society also can play a role in it.

Study shows rehabilitation justice doesnt work, it is making a small comeback today but it will be thrown out again once the public gets outraged that reoffenders are being thrown back into society and commiting crimes again. Retribution is the only way to go.

What a pity. I thought this man is a very extra ordinary full of heart fighter. He is no brave after all. Ending owns life is cowardice.

cryptic: I cant comprehend why valero would do what he did?? After all he had everything! I guess he must of had serious mental health issues! Thats the only thing I could come up with!!! In life if your brain doesnt work correctly then in reality you have nothing because you have no control of your destiny!!

Now that I think of it, when valero used to fight he didnt look right at all!! He looked like a mad man in the ring, and when he used to make motions in the ring he looked like a scared animal reacting on instinct!! its kind of errie thinkin about it.. May he and his wife RIP!! PS: boy did he know how to enertain the crowd, and that man could scrap!!!!!!!!!
