:think Good fight, but George being smaller than the Klitshko's had power comparable if not a harder puncher. As skilled as Toney was, and I don't see Big George catching Toney cleanly either as Toney was as slippery as they come, I think it would come down to how good Toney's resistance would be to catching Foreman's punches on his arms and body.

If you remember in the Rumble in the Jungle, as many shots as Ali slipped, many landed on his body and arms. Toney was deceptively strong even though he came up from SMW, but I don't think he'd open up as much as you think. He was obviously more skillful than Foreman, and I don't see anyone stopping the 03 version of Toney, only perhaps a prime Lennox, Tyson, Bowe, Holmes, or Vitali perhaps.

I also don't see Toney's punches having the affect on Foreman where they do anything more, but stun Foreman for the reason that I'm sure with someone with the legendary firepower and pressure of Foreman Toney's arms and body would also have to tire at some point from withstanding Foreman's assault and Toney wouldn't have the same pop in his punches. I think it would be close because Toney would give any HW in history hell and make them look bad IMO. Maybe a SD for Big George, but Big George wins for sure.

Exactly! This would be a slaughter!

  6. Foreman by KO on a thudding body shot, somewhere in the mid-late rounds.

Ali was also a natural heavyweight with ATG heavyweight punch resistance. Toney has great punch resistance, but not heavyweight punch resistance. He's been hurt at HW by less punchers than Foreman - which is pretty much everybody. He would not be able to cope with the sheer size, power and must importantly strength of Foreman. He would be thrown off the ropes half way across the ring if he tried sitting on them countering. Foreman is the strongest HW of all-time in my opinion in terms of physical strenght, Toney would be bullied and battered.

Foreman would stand him on his head, and I like Toney but come on man he's getting run out of the ring in this one.

    Foreman KO 2

Stylistically, Toney has edges on Foreman but I think he is too passive to take this fight. The only boxer in history who could take the sort of punishment that Foreman dealt to the body, was Ali. Toney just wouldn't be able to cope with the power, especially not the body punches. A -6ft guy usually isn't a natural heavyweight and Toney isn't. His body couldn't cope, even if his chin could.

More crucially, unlike Ali, he wouldn't be able to hurt Foreman.

Old Foreman vs. Heavyweight Toney is more interesting.

X I honestly thought you started this massacre of a thread

Toney has nothing to keep Foreman off of him with, he's ****ed when Foreman goes to the body with those hooks.
