JMM is a Truly Great Fighter IMO But i Fear as the years go by hes going to remembered as the guy who nearly beat Pacman. He has good wins against Diaz ,Mab and Casmayor but they are not great wins. Im afraid hes going to be in Pacs Shadow , I just wish the Judges give him the decision in that 2nd Fight. I fought he won it closely but clearly.

He's going to be remembered as the guy who unofficially beat him twice.

Also, for his war with Diaz.

Also, for posting a string of very good wins over B-level featherweights during his prime, when the other prime A-level featherweights wouldn't give him the time of day.

It will go down like the Hagler Leoanard drama. Everyone will have there own opinion on who won the fight or fights.

...which is all well and fine, but the fact will remain that Hagler and Marquez unofficially won. :yep

He's the guy who beat Pac in the 2nd fight and lost by ONE Point in the first fight. Despite being down 3 times in the first round.

Without having it on hand, quick recall has my scorecard for the rematch being a tighter win for Marquez (air-tight).

He did outfight Pacquiao for most of the rest of the first fight, despite some revisionist claims.

Marquez did great. No doubt about it. Air tight seems about right.

Although even to get to air tight I forgot what the rounds come out to be.

Like 9-3 for Marquez I think.

    Insane stuff.

Torrecampo should come out of retirement to take on Marquez.

(In seriousness, though, Marquez will be remembered as the ace fighter that he is. Takes way too many shots for my liking, but I love his ability to counter in combinations.)

Marquez won the rematch, I dont care what the `judges` said....
I never scored fight 1, a draw seemed ok to me tho....
Morales beat Pacquiao clear enough in 05....
The winner of FMJ-SSM will likely beat Pacman IF the fight takes place....

As brilliant a boxer as Marquez is, he's gonna have to do something earth-shaking to be remembered for more than drinking pee.

They should fight again before Pac retires. Have the fight at junior welter. Pac will probably destroy him, but it'll put some kind of closure on the whole thing.

He will be remembered for giving Pacquiao, the greatest of this generation, extremely tough two fights and possibly his toughest two ever but came short in the second fight. Hardcore LOGICAL fans will remember him for also getting a draw in the first fight because on judge admitted she didn't score the first round 10-6 but 10-7 as a mistake.
