Was I talking to you? Andre Berto may be a brilliant boxer, but he's as far from witty or personable as they come. I don't see how one can project their personal problems and voice such an opinion on a tragedy. At least he made amends, and the comment was ****ed up regardless what you say. Of course even great athletes are just human, they will make mistakes, but as a pretty high figure, hes better off using that little pea brain before voicing an absurd opinion.
I can say the exact same for half the posters on this forum, k. In my shock immediately following the news that Valero had been arrested for killing his wife, I said something like: Although many agreed with me, I looked back on that almost right away and thought, damn I just judged the guy and I really have no idea what was going on in his life. I really don't know **** about what really happened. Who the hell am I to say that? Now we're on here judging Andre Berto, who had absolutely nothing to do with Valero or his wife.. he just said some dumb **** on his Twitter... go back and look through the 10 or so threads about Valero and i'm sure you can find some more dumb **** to hold people accountable for.
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." That should be Berto's new mantra.
I have no problem with Berto. I also have no problem with people getting in his ****. That's the price of fame.
What the hell? You guys don't "get" that? "RIP ... today. I am amazed and saddend that the situation got so out of control. Sometimes relationships can drive a man to madness. I am going through some things in my personal life as well. RIP E.V" You guys are so quick to try to hate a guy for the silliest of things. Calculus is a "*****" too. :blood
It was a ridiculous comment. He really needs to think before hitting the enter key. I don't think he had malice, but he really deserves to be called out on his insensitivity. It will blow over quick.
Since you are coming from the "upset" camp. How would you define the word "*****" in the sentence? I think people think it was insensitive because they are not defining the word as he did.
We all **** up but it takes integrity to man up and admit when you're wrong. Berto at least did just that. I hate when people rush to judgement on others like they're so high and ****ing mighty. A person made a mistake? Oh my god their life is over and their worth is negative numbers. Much different when you're in that position. He might have been trying to say that when a man loves a woman so much, his emotions can push him over the edge and override his logic. Happens to women too. The results can sometimes be devastating....crimes of passion are the most irrational crimes.
not surprised, hes got 0 ****ing brains in the ring as well either way, stupid comment for such a serious situation. even if he meant it in a different way. mother ****ing gonna get ko'd
