    OK, just to be clear:

We all know that statement makes no sense, right?

This seems to have been an issue lately, particularly among newer Asian fans.

"Pound for pound" doesn't mean "good". It means "relative to weight". By itself it's not a compliment - it needs context.

"Juan Manuel Marquez will be remembered as one of the toppound-for-pound boxers" is probably more the type of statement you were going for.

If you know that and it was just a simple typographical error/mindfart, then please forgive me for making an example of you. It's just a very disturbing and annoying trend that only seems to be growing.

    Part II is epic.

Marquez is a great fighter, probably the 8th best of the decade.

marquez is a great fighter but regarding his loses, his loses were clottey-like, he just doesn't do enough or fell very short to almost getting that win. Got one sidely dominated at the end of his career just like clottey too in his last fight.

I believe I had Marquez winning the rematch 115/113.

He went toe to toe with Pacman twice. eeked out a draw and a loss.

Marquez's resume is absolutely superb..I think he's got a better resume than Pac.

Nobody could have captured it better, Joe :good

It's just unfortunate for him that he wasn't able to fight his Mexican rivals in their respective primes, and that PacMan has the bragging rights over him not to mention still making some boxing history as we speak.

Thanks Scar, and yes, everyone scores fights differently, and with a little bias too.
I'm a huge fan of Marquez, but genuinely think he beat Pac twice, and the first fight, the performance he gave was breathtaking after being dropped 3 times in a round.

yes, because he got robbed the same way we feel about clottey because the scores were very similar. Clottey-cotto is about as close as marquez-pac. And whats bad about that was he fought pac twice and still produce the same result, another close could have, should have which was his own fault if he think he got screwed again. Thats what seperates marquez and clottey from the likes of floyd for example, he fights castillo for a 2nd time and he wins wide and clear, no ifs, buts controversy

After videos of Pac knocking down Marquez 4 times, sadly, Marquez will be remembered as the fighter who got knocked down 4 times by Pac.
