I thought that the ref was as brave as you like in the 2nd Byrne fight...it seemed that the only people who were actually watching the fight were about 300 members of Furys family, and the ref still took a point off. :D

I saw bits of Phill Fury on a FFN I think a few months ago, it may be the fight mentioned above I'm not sure. He won, but he was not impressive at all.

I don't think that its just Fury...the establishment don't want a fat ****ing disgrace of a boxer holding one of their belts, and I don't blame them. If McD kept off of the chips and dropped a few stone he would make a cracking cruiser

I hear they are going to bribe the ref for the re-match.

Make sure Fury wins again, and the ref gets his drive tarmacked free of charge.

Even though I thought Mcdermott won the first fight it was close and could have gone either way. In fact, the two times I have watched the fight since I'm amazed at how easy Fury made it for the first 3-4 rounds.

A Fury win wasn't controversial but Dave Parris' scorecard made it so.

What do I expect in the re-match? My mind takes me back to the 2 Williams vs McDermott fights in which John McDermott gave the, up to then, best performance of his career and then got clearly beaten in the 2nd fight once Williams had worked him out and, most importantly, not under-rated him. I can see the same thing happening again. Tyson Fury keeping the concentration levels high throughout the fight and not under-estimating a decent opponent on his way to a late ko or wide points decision which he was clearly on his way to in their first fight before switching off.

English title fights are now scored by judges, not the refs.

Theres no need to bribe the ref...McD is such a useless fat ****ing crybaby that he is guaranteed not to get the decision. It would probably cost £25k to adjust the lonsdale belt so that Fat John could get it around his porcine gut :fire so he's not going to be getting any favours...Anyway, when Fury has finished with him and someone has hosed John down after the fight he can stop off on the way home and have a consolation triple pie and chips to make himself feel better, the ****ing disgrace :deal:thumbsup
