    Tszyu hints at boxing return
    “I have not officially retired."

Former undisputed Jr-welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu was a special guest on the Long Lunch today in Australia on Fox Sports News. During a twenty minute interview he hinted that he may be enticed into a ring return – if the right opportunity came along. He stated, “I have not officially retired – even after the loss to Ricky Hatton I have never stated that I am retired from the sport completely. I have not ruled out a return to the boxing ring but the opportunity would have to be right. It would have to be something big. It would take me about six months to get myself back into shape to compete again so it would have to be something different. A fight against big named boxers would be the only thing that would excite me to push my body into the pain. Let’s look at this weekend’s boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosely – that would be a good challenge for me to fight the winner. Also Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world and he is in my division. You never know what can happen in boxing but it is these types of fights that could entice me back to the boxing ring.” Tszyu has not fought since his 11th round retirement to Ricky Hatton in Manchester in 2006 and has spent recent years developing boxing gyms for young fighters in his native Russia.

    Stay retired Kostya.

Other than that, you can gear up for a rematch with Vince Phillips, who is more shot than you at this point.

I cant think of anything worse than Mayweather vs Tsyzu. I'd hope even Floyd would be embarassed asking people to buy that but it wouldnt shock me

Mayweather vs. Tszyu would have been AWESOME 5 years ago, and Tszyu is one of the few fighters I would honestly favor over Mayweather...he LIVED off guys like that, although not quite of the same talent.

I remember reading an article awhile back on Mayweather, where he basically trashed talked everyone in all these divisions EXCEPT Tszyu, who I think Mayweather has always had a lot of respect for.

It would be a mismatch today but prime for prime I'd favor Zoo.

  13. I love Kostya, and honestly... I think Hatton vs. Tszyu II would be a pretty good fight if they met at 147. I'd love to see it.

But if he's thinking he'll actually get a shot at Pacman or the Mayweather Mosley winner, he's insane.

the last thing to go is the power, and Tszyu had it in bucketloads, however in that last fight he looked absolutely shattered, and i wasnt surprised when he quit.

I just have a feeling he's gonna lose to some bum like Michael Brodie did in his comeback fight, he needs to let it go.

Anotehr fight that should have happened for Mayweather back in the day, there was no excuse for them not to meet.
