If floyd handles a loss well and starts acting like a humble super talent, his fan base will double and he'll finally belong to the boxing community instead of holding himself above it.

Some of you really underestimating the effect JMM(+ the Pac connection) had on the PBF/JMM PPV sales.

I don't think PBF is as much of a draw as he think he is...if he knocks SSM out, then that is a plateau he just might reach, however. He is a draw right now, but not on the level of De La Hoya, or Tyson, or, hell, even Manny Pacquiao. His fighting style just isn't the type that makes people want to tune in...

...I could be wrong, though. I don't pay a lot of attention to PPV numbers. But once he loses, I think the drawing power he does have might drop substantially.

    this.

When he loses to Mosley and comes back big against another great fighter, he will be twice as big.

People pay to see you lose? I wonder if i would pay my hard earned money just because i want to see someone lose. Sounds delusional to me,I think thats just a simple way of people who want to see his genius. The man is a genius in the sport. Like him or hate him. Another thing is that why do something different if the one you do works perfect for you.

OK, Tyson and Delahoya were the draws PERIOD but to put Pac in there as a top draw over Mayweather is just silly and I can care less about the numbers because I do not get paid from them. they actually take money out my pocket because Im a boxing fan but you take all of the factors or speculation of why fights sell out and floyd fights have still outsold Pacs by ALOT

    I don't buy that.

If he loses to Mosley and decides to opt for the rematch the only way PBF/Mosley 2 is bigger than the first is if the first fight was great ans with Floyd in the ring that is never a guarantee.

If he decides skip the rematch, then Pac/Mosely will be the biggest fight to make and FLoyd would have to fight someone like Cotto, Margarito or Williams.

Floyd is not an exciting fighter; His Ace in the hole right now is his "invincibility" Once the 0 goes his drawing power will diminish!

Roy Jones Jr. seems to still be a draw maby not not as big of a draw as he used to be but still a draw. I think Mayweather would still be a draw just not the same draw.

If Oscar couldn't still be a draw after all his losses, I don't see why Floyd couldn't be after one

It also depends on how he lost the fight.

Clear UD? Close UD that could go either way?

    KO?

    Lots of factors.

    Who's his comeback opponent? Etc.

Not even DLH after losing put up good numbers.

    Let's also look at facts.

    His first 3 PPVs 325, 365, 375

    Oscar's first 3 PPVs

    330,000 buys
    220,000 buys
    345,000 buys

Mayweather has done way BETTER than DLH and in his PPV fights, is averaging nearly 200k more buys per fight than DLH (his average is 729k, Pac is 608k)

In fact, DLH's first very good PPV came against Whitiker.

Anytime DLH faced someone with small names he couldn't even carry the PPV.

    Sturm, Campos, Castillejo and Rivera.

DLH's reign as PPV king in the lower weights will be taken away by Floyd and Pac both of them are doing extremely better than DLH right now.

But no one will beat Tyson. Tyson is the king, averaging 1million+ buys per PPV
