Wlad is a great big man. He's big and uses it very well. Frazier is small, it is a massive size advantage he has to overcome. It's hard to see how Frazier lands. If he gets close, he'll get grabbed. And from distance he's toast.
Hard to see how Frazier gets close? That's the man's specialty, he ate by getting close. Plus Wlad is only offerring a jab in his way largely, the man has dealt with more. He's Wlad's worst nightmare imo. His hooks are not slow, he works the body, he definitely closes distance, he's one of the best ever at doing so, and he maintains close quarter combat. His left hook is one of the most devastating weapons in history. Wlad has been roasted by much less.
You say that, but I don't think so. Ali had a better jab than Wlad, I think, and he most certainly had a better right hand, and Ali didn't realy come to dominate Joe with those punches over 27 rounds. It wasn't until Manilla that these punches really came to define the action, and Frazier was way, way past his very best by then...Frazier doesn't wait. He's not counter-punching and he's not pressuring the space, he's pressuring the man. He also happens to bring the fastest pressure in history above 200lbs. Frazier, at his best, doens't struggle with the type of punches that Wlad uses. Check out Foster or the FOTC for examples. Both of those guys were jabbers and both of them got slipped an beat, it's only a question of the opponents fragility, really, in terms of how long they are going to last as jabbers, and Wlad isn't even a jab-mover. He doesn't like what he gets here.
if wladimir came out firing, or just fought more confident in his own punching ability, then i believe he would knock haye out early, but it takes him four rounds to throw a single right hand, and that sort of bull**** i believe would cost him against a real puncher due to his chin. you just can't keep doing it and get away, eventually that is going to cost you a fight because the opponent will land his big punch first.
too many people look too much into size. size is good if you know how to use it, but a better smaller fighter will beat a very good big fighter. we've seen it time and time again, and that's because skill, speed and ability means more than size.
Wlad has never faced a beast that you could even compare to a heavyweight in fraizer. Once Fraizer connected to Wlad jaw, Wlad would **** his pants. You think the jab alone would stop Fraizer? It would only be a matter of time before Fraizer was able to test that jaw. And then it would be lights out.
both had very good jabs and right hand. wladimir uses more power, ali used his for distance and speed. one thing for sure is ali proved his ability against other greats, and was way more confident in throwing punches than wladimir, and looked great at doing it.
It's embarrassing to compare Wlad to Ali. The true measurement of a fighter's tool is its effectiveness, not its cosmetic value. Wladimir Klitschko has a great and effective jab, look what Ali's achieved. His jab was also his main weapon, in terms of their overall toolbox- well you could fit about a million of Klitschko's toolbox into the corner of Ali's toolbox, and that's when he's doing oddjobs on the side.
Well that shite defence got him a world chapionship in a golden era of heavyweight boxing, maybe everyone should abandon defence. Anyway, you're clearly on a wind-up, his boobing and weaving was good for a swarmer, he rolled with plenty of Ali's shots first time round. I'm not biting anymore, carry on with your ******ed ****. Eat my shorts.
You're talking ****. Check my posts clownboy, i've never seen a fanboy. Boxers don't always beat brawlers. Wladimir Klitsccko a very skilled big man? Wow you're going to cum in your nappy when you see some of the real great technicians in boxing's history. The man has a great jab and power. I've probably watched more fights from every era than you've had wanks over Wladimir beating Ray Mercer, and that's likely a shitload.
