Andre Ward (beat Kessler to win a title in Group State 1): "(Kessler) is too skillful, too polished and has too many tools in the toolkit for Carl Froch to overcome. He's very motivated coming off his loss to me, and has the chance to regain a world title with a win over Froch. He has a new trainer and seems refreshed and rejuvenated and has proven in the past that he can come back after being defeated to win a world championship. Froch is a tough customer and will give everything he has. It will definitely be a tough match-up for Kessler, but at the end of the night Mikkel Kessler will get his hand raised.'' Allan Green (challenges Ward on June 19 in Group Stage 2): "I'm going with Froch. I think he is more confident right now. I think Kessler may be a tad bit quicker, but I think Froch is slicker and he has more options so he will win this fight.'' Arthur Abraham (the tournament leader with 3 points who faces Froch this summer in Group Stage 3): "I think Kessler will win. This basically is his last chance. His career and his future -- at least in the Super Six -- are on the line. It would be a huge surprise if someone of his class would be eliminated that early. As my (promotional) teammate, I do, of course, hope he will beat Froch -- although it will be a very tough and exciting fight. All Super Six fighters are very strong, so I look forward to an exciting evening in Herning." Andre Dirrell (lost a split-decision to Froch in Group Stage 1): "Mikkel Kessler will win by majority decision. He's a very smart boxer with great ability. Despite his loss to Ward, he has had a lot of success against Europeans and that will be the case again in his fight with Froch.''
I think there's some about The name Greene and idiots, i've just been watching LMW up and comer Joe Greene, and he doesnt come across as too bright either. But even Froch would possibly laugh at that lol
Off topic question: Do fighters ever pick against their stablemates when not facing a stablemate? Every time I look at predictions a fighter has always predicted a win for their stablemate.
i think green is confusing slick with holding hands low and being awkward....while sometimes those are trademarks of slick fighters....carl froch is not slick
Allan Green should not be in the tournament. He will get BADLY exposed by Andre Ward. I think Ward could easily win all 12 rounds in that one, I really do. The Jermaine Taylor/Allan Green is the worst thing about the Super 6. If and I know its an if Lucian Bute was in there. I mean wow!. Anyway, This fight comes down to 1 thing. How confident is Mikkel Kessler. U know he will be in the lead after half way, you know its his last shot. His career is on the line and he will be giving it everything in front of his people. Therefore we all know he will start the strongest. If his confidence is intact then he will cruise to a UD and I mean cruise. What I want to see is what happens after round 7 when Froch starts landing big punches and attempts to drag Mikkel into a street fight. I have fought before as an amatuer and anyone that has boxed knows confidence and self belief are a huge thing in boxing. When the doubts creep in its your biggest enemy, especially if you are struggling to keep him off due to his constant pressure. If the fight is even reasonably close after 8 Froch will win. He will keep coming all night long and if Kessler starts to doubt himself he could end up on the receiving end of a late KO. You know Froch doesnt have self belief problems. He has pulled it out of the fire when he has really needed too (Dirrell aside which I think he lost) and Kessler will be aware of this. This fight could end up very similiar to Cotto v Margherito. Where Cotto used slick boxing to keep off Margherito up until the middle rounds, (forgive my spelling) but the constant pressure applied by Margherito eventually wore him down late. Now we know Margherito cheated but you get the point I am trying to make. My heart says Mikkel easy but I have a hunch Froch takes this late. I think Mikkels biggest enemy is himself right now and I think Froch will exploit this for a late stoppage. Listen I could be wrong, and Mikkell crusies, just playing on a hunch and I will be betting Froch in running after 6 rounds.
